I don't believe that to be me at all. I actually had hope and promise for the team last season. Considering you tend to get on your high horse on a continued basis, you should honestly get over yourself. The team was bad, and playing against a Colorado team that was on the back end of back-to-backs, they should have done much better. I'm sorry, where did I excuse Janik's play? -

Thanks Howard. Soft goals galore after the second. I'm sorry, I thought the point was to actually watch the game, not take points and be like "hey, awesome!" Detroit was bad. Howard was bad. Lidstrom was bad. The defense overall was bad. Hudler was bad. Filpulla was a shin guard assassin. Franzen and Datsyuk were the only two players that I thought did well tonight. ******* horrible. -

If Howard was in butterfly correctly he wouldn't have needed to reposition. It went between his glove and pad. He didn't try to move his glove up to stop the shot originally, so I don't see how he needed to reposition based on where the shot deflected. Besides, the puck went like 2 inches from Duchene's stick before deflecting, and the puck didn't even change direction all that much. Soff. Nobody is calling Howard out in regards to season play like they did Osgood last year. But that goal could be a momentum killer, especially after all the sustained pressure Detroit had in their zone. Hudler first starting it off and Howard being unable to stop a shot between his glove and pad. -

If the puck sneaks in on a non-screened shot like that, how can you say that Howard played that shot correctly? Honestly, it was soft. Whoopdie doo. -

Yeah, big change in direction there. Oh wait, it flipped UNDER where his glove should have been. He misjudged it and it went in. Soft goal. Don't worry, him letting in a softie doesn't mean he is the next Dan Cloutier. -

It wasn't that great of a shot. Bad angle, and Howard did not look like he was in good butterfly to stop it. His body language after the goal doesn't help, either. GMR: Filpulla has been giving them blocked shots. They have hardly had to try with Val taking up the role of shinguard assassin. That makes sense with non-butterfly goaltenders and with shots that redirect from the point. Neither of those happened here. The butterfly is meant to cut off those kinds of goals if done correctly, and Howard did not do it well enough. If it had deflected over the shoulder that is another story, but it went right underneath where his glove was supposed to be. -

Umm, Howard could have had that. Not every goal is unstoppable. -

Wasn't directly from behind. No history of dirty play or suspensions. 2 games seems about right. -

I hate him more than anyone on that team. Nice gap in your teeth, *******. -

Yeah, perhaps Janik shouldn't have accepted a fight with his team in the offensive zone. With the lead. No idea WHY he picked that time to fight. -
Ducks with two goals in three games. 0-3. Their top line is going to end up with more fights than points if they keep this up.
-
Good news.

There weren't any times where I thought "man, if that wasn't Ozzie in there they would have scored." He was able to stop the puck, but Chicago did not force that many great plays against him and Kopecky single-handedly ruined the top line. I hope Osgood plays more like this. But I'm not going to label his performance anything other than a solid, consistent performance by our goaltender. There is no shame in saying that.
-
Osgood was consistent, not great. There were no times where I thought he downright saved a goal. It was an up and down game for the most part, but because of Turco (a goaltender Chicago is going to be stuck with all year) the team lost out on a point.

They had a couple penalties against last night.

That's a stupid statement if I've ever heard one. Seabrook picked the corner. Howard would not have had that at all.
-
Always a class act by Hoss (cool to see that they keep in touch too) and really great comments by Kane. I still hate that team, though.

Considering these ads are about professional sports I don't see why you would talk about sports in general, since I think the idea that sports are all about selling s*** is absolutely ridiculous.
-
How about you demonstrate that instead of making claims.
-
Professional sports were always about selling a product.
