I knew I was going to b esorry I didn't start at the beginning of the playoffs this year. This is the first year since 02 when I built my first TV capture machine that I didn't capture all the playoff games because it's a ton of work and every other year they got eliminated so I thought I'd forego this year. I do have the finals games though.

Stevie looked like he was in a bad mood or something today. He was on the phone when he went by us and didn't look happy. Lisa wasn't with him either. Maybe she's tired of Parades or something.

I just realized you were like 100 feet south of me. In the distance shots you'd probably be able to see me if the people weren't in the way. Good shots man.

He's a real character that guy. Yeah, Hank was wearing that Conn Smyth like a hat. I have more, but some aren't that good. Facing the other way, me trying to climb over people, media rampage etc.

This'll be my fourth one. If it's like the others here's how it will go: If you want to be in Hart Plaza where all the speeches are given be there HOURS early, maybe even the night before. It will start on Woodward where it crosses the major freeways just west of the Fox and Hockeytown Cafe across from Comerica park and proceed toward the river (obviously). Be prepared to pay through the nose for parking somewhere like a real lot where your car will be safe. Less for a bulls*** semi shady lot where your call will most likely still be safe. Free if you can find an alley somewhere and have a worthless car like mine and don't really care if it's safe or not The earlier you get there the closer to the street you'll be and don't underestimate how far away the middle of Woodward is. However, no matter what time they say it will start it will be a bit late and you'll be standing there the whole time with a horde of other people also getting antsy. For most of Woodward it will be 15 or 20 people deep to the street. There should be helicopters and small advertising planes circling everywhere and the press from all over should be out in force. Most pepole I ran into were friendly, but they won't take kindly if you try n get in front of them. Needless to say everything imaginable will be for sale everywhere for jaw dropping prices. Personally being a family man I always go right to the beginning by the Fox Theater and after the last player goes by I can still get home and see the festivities live on TV. I'm only about 20-25 minutes from downtown unless for the other trillion people to leave too.

I know I'm not around here as much as some you guys are and have no standing, but lemme make a couple suggestions. The Penguins forums are populated by a bunch of whiny women who cry ban even if somebody simply gives reasons why they think the Wings will win tonight. I don't think it's an issue, but I hope were bigger than that if some of them end up over here. Also there ARE some blatant trolls who are not representing our team or our city very well. I hope it's none of us. All that said. LET"S GO WINGS!!! The league, Penguins team, coach and now their fans are doing evertyhing they can to make me hate them. I'm doing my best not to let them succeed

I have more than a feeling I hope you're right. Am I the only one who's nervous about this? I love Franzen and it would be insane not to put him back in, but he is streaky and his last streak was involuntarily interrupted 2 weeks ago.

I couldn't get here much last night. It happened just as I'd hoped though. The win was overwhelming enough that no questions could be raised about it. Crosby looked like a whipped puppy in the post game. I would think a shot of him being laid out by Zetterberg would better reflect the flavor of the game for the frozen moment. There is not any doubt in my mind who the league and the media want to win. My only question with this thread was would they tug a few strings to aid that result.

If any of you guys knew me you would know that I'm the last person to ever think something like this could happen, but that little voice is telling me with all the Crosby hype the NHL at least thinks it has an interest in Pittsburgh winning this series. My question is, does anyone believe there is any chance that the oficials have been hinted to in this regard? I'm not even saying I believe it, however the media is covering this like the Sidney Cup Finals and oh what a commercial letdown it would be if the "face of the NHL" were to be defeated by a team that's viewed as reperesenting the old down days and has worn out it's welcome. The white dog says "come on man they couldn't get away with this even if they wanted to" and the black dog is saying "as desperate as they are and with all those eggs in that basket... could be" A basket I might add that will do nothing for long term ratings anyway, but that's what they think.

Of course. If you're not nervous you don't love your team. Fix is too strong a word and like I've said, I am not saying anything is going on. I've just never seen so many faces up one ass and it is possible to tilt the ice with officiating. If we lose fair and square then we do as bad as that would suck. I'd just hate to think that the league would in any way help either team over the other no matter how subtly. That said I want a 4 game massacre. I've never disliked Crosby and have never hated the Penguins, but the sychophantic swooning is getting me there. I want to spank these guys raw in front of the whole hockey world. Won't happen, but I can fantasize.

I didn't even know about the stories with Bettman and the NBA. Maybe that would make it harder to be too obvious.
