so say that cab driver was your old man or grandpa or someone and Kane beat him up you would think it was funny or cool for him to joke around about it on TV and infront of millions of people ?. That makes the NHL look reeeeaaalllll classy
-
what about making a trade for Roman Polak STL has alot of good D and young D coming up, Polak makes 1.1mill he's only 24 6'1 225LBS 71GP 21PTS +7
-
I dont know what pair D he is but in 05 with the Flyers he put up 27PTS in 57GP which isnt to bad, the last 5 Isles games his TOI was anywhere between 14min and 23min so my guess is defintly top 4
-
I dont think they will he is making 4mill now i actually think he will make less then that, ya he has great potential but over the last 4 years his numbers have gotten worse from 71pts,67pts,59pts and 51pts this past season. now i dont think he is going to make alot les but id say somewhere between 3.5-4 again
-
Damn you no cap space Ott Sun is reporting LA wont be re-signing Frolov and could possibly go after both Marleau and Kovy.

How much better would we be looking with Leino and Kopecky
king_malice replied to a topic in General
Kopecky and Quincy ive always thought were the worst mistakes letting them go, Leino was alright with the Wings skill wise but had zero heart and i was glad when we got rid of him, sure he played good for the Flyers but it seemed if he didnt get the Mins he wanted or whatever with the Wings he didnt try. -
i said a long time ago i thought Comrie could be a good fit with the Wings pretty cheap and good offensivly, hes not gonna go out there and be hammering guys or fighting but defintly would help put up points Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi Cleary-Comrie-Filppula Eaves-Abdelkader-Helm this could work 21pts in 43gp on the oilers is pretty good, only problem with him is he is always getting hurt
-
I heard today on the Radio and tonight on a Canadian sports show that the Ducks could be in Cap trouble this off-season and might not be able to lock up Bobby Ryan. Im pretty sure he is a RFA and im not to sure how it works in getting a RFA and what we would have to give to get him but i would lovve to get him. Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Ryan Cleary-Filppula-Miller/Bertuzzi(if cheap enough) Eaves-Abdelkader-Helm Draper
-
very true but i have to think Sobotka,Boychuk,Stuart and Leihtonen will all get a contract from the Bruins and those are just RFA's Sobotka and Boychuk stepped up for the Bruins in the playoffs and Leihtonen had 50pts in like 75gp for prov. bruins this season hes only like 22 so they will want him back. I wouldnt mind making a trade for Wheeler then i really do think the Bruins are in a tight spot this off-season, unless they can dump that Ryder contract somewhere
-
what about Blake Wheeler hes a RFA this season 800k i think he made last season everyones saying Boston probably cant sign him with other RFA like Lehtonen,Paille,Sobotka,Boychuk,Stuart and Wheeler Wheeler at 6'5 220lbs learning from Homer for the next couple season defintly has the build to play that style 82GP had something like 37PTS thats mostly 3rd line with some PP and ocasional 2nd line depending what we could get Wheeler at and/or Bertuzzi have something like this Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Wheeler Cleary-Filppula-Bertuzzi Eaves-Abdelkader-Helm Draper
-
ok here is another idea what about trying to steal Blake Wheeler from the Bruins or making a trade for him, Bruins are another team that doesn't have alot of cap space wheeler is a beast at 6'5 220lbs had 38pts in 82gp Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Johan Franzen ($3.955m) Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Jiri Hudler ($2.875m) / Daniel Cleary ($2.800m) * Blake Wheeler ($2.500m) / Tomas Holmstrom ($1.875m) / Kris Draper ($1.583m) * Justin Abdelkader ($1.000m) / * Darren Helm ($0.799m) / Mattias Ritola ($0.517m) * Patrick Eaves ($0.500m) DEFENSEMEN Nicklas Lidstrom ($6.200m) / Brian Rafalski ($6.000m) Brad Stuart ($3.750m) / Niklas Kronwall ($3.000m) * Andreas Lilja ($1.000m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($0.900m) Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) GOALTENDERS Chris Osgood ($1.417m) / Jimmy Howard ($0.717m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (these totals are compiled using the bonus cushion) ROSTER: 22; CAP: $56.8m; PAYROLL: $58.054m; CAP ROOM: $-1.254m BONUSES: $0.000m Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Wheeler Cleary-Filppula-Helm Eaves-Abdelkader-Draper something like that,maybe.....i dont know what the Bruins could match for him i know they have alot to sign. They have already said they wont be able to sign them all, i cant see them not signing stuart, sobotka, lehtonen or boychuk who had a great playoffs for them Dan Paille Mark Stuart Vladimir Sobotka Mikko Lehtonen(im pretty sure led the prov. bruins in points) Johnny Boychuk

BROOKLYN, Mich. - Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom will get behind the wheel this weekend to serve as the honorary pace car driver at a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The 40-year-old defenceman, who put off retirement by signing a one-year contract with the NHL team earlier this month, will also participate in some of the pre-race ceremonies at the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400. It will be his first visit to Michigan International Speedway. Detroit Lions first-round draft pick Ndamukong Suh will serve as an honorary official for the race, which has a 43-car field. "We are pleased Nicklas Lidstrom and Ndamukong Suh will be here on Sunday for the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400," track president Roger Curtis said in a release. "Lidstrom is a household name in Detroit and I have a good feeling that Suh will be making quite a name for himself in Detroit as well when the football season begins this fall."

Toews: Most undeserving Conn Smyth winner in history?
king_malice replied to blues_demitra38's topic in General
I actually thought it would have been Patty Sharp that won it 22PTS 3PP goals, 1SH goal, 1GW goal and +10 -

29PTS 5PP goals 3GW goals and pretty much dominated the faceoff circle all playoffs i think he deserved it -
Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Johan Franzen ($3.955m) * Bobby Ryan ($3.450m) / Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Jiri Hudler ($2.875m) Daniel Cleary ($2.800m) / Tomas Holmstrom ($1.875m) / Kris Draper ($1.583m) * Justin Abdelkader ($1.000m) / * Darren Helm ($0.850m) / Mattias Ritola ($0.517m) * Patrick Eaves ($0.500m) DEFENSEMEN Nicklas Lidstrom ($6.200m) / Brian Rafalski ($6.000m) Brad Stuart ($3.750m) / Niklas Kronwall ($3.000m) * Andreas Lilja ($1.000m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($0.900m) Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) GOALTENDERS Chris Osgood ($1.417m) / Jimmy Howard ($0.717m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (these totals are compiled using the bonus cushion) ROSTER: 22; CAP: $56.8m; PAYROLL: $58.755m; CAP ROOM: $-1.955m BONUSES: $0.000m another question how do they determine the cap hits ? like Franzen salary is 5.5mill and cap hit is only 3.9mill
-
ducks roster/cap http://www.thefourthperiod.com/salarycap/ana.html 31.8 mill locked up this off-season and have like 14UFA and like 4RFA
-
does anyone know what we would have to give the Ducks for him ? his salary was 765,000 and his cap hit was 1.9mill this season
-
Hawks will look to trade Sharp and Versteeg i read today in the off-season. to free up some cap space
-
well looks like Souray to the Sharks!
-
i know there is a player named Arik Lebda he is 26 plays in the AAHL
-
I hope to GOD that god damn tree was cut down !!!!
-
Yzermans first move is bringing in Guy Boucher ?....thats the report out of Montreal
-
We would have to let Bertuzzi walk and Anton would have to take a big cut just to come, you never know he might do it to come to the Wings knowing Wings have a chance to win every year, then again he could take alot more money and go to a team like the Caps. If the Cap does go up by 2 mill this is the Max we could give him only like a 1.3mill raise and i dont know about those forwards. Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Johan Franzen ($3.955m) Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Jiri Hudler ($2.875m) / Daniel Cleary ($2.800m) Tomas Holmstrom ($1.875m) / Kris Draper ($1.583m) / * Justin Abdelkader ($0.900m) * Darren Helm ($0.750m) / * Drew Miller ($0.525m) / Mattias Ritola ($0.517m) * Patrick Eaves ($0.500m) DEFENSEMEN Nicklas Lidstrom ($6.200m) / Brian Rafalski ($6.000m) * Anton Volchenkov ($4.250m) / Brad Stuart ($3.750m) Niklas Kronwall ($3.000m) / Jonathan Ericsson ($0.900m) Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) GOALTENDERS Chris Osgood ($1.417m) / Jimmy Howard ($0.717m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (these totals are compiled using the bonus cushion) ROSTER: 22; CAP: $56.8m; PAYROLL: $59.180m; CAP ROOM: $-2.180m BONUSES: $0.000m Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Cleary Helm-Filppula-Miller(dont know about this line) Eaves-Abdelkader-Ritola Draper Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Volchenkov Stuart-Ericcson

NHL.com has posted a new mock draft and has the Wings taking one of these two Patrik Nemeth, D, AIK Jr. (SWE-JR) Tyler Pitlick, C, Minnesota State (WCHA) dont know to much about him but here's his numbers from last season 38GP 11G 8A 27PIMS defintly not a very good name lol Im still really hoping for Jeff Skinner
-
I just think its kinda obvious what the Wings need to do with the picks they have this season. Pretty much draft what we are looking for now in the off-season, more D, gritty tough forward(s),and a couple skill guys
