if the wings decided to make moves this year who would you wanna see them deal and for who or what in return theres been alot of names floating around the league...so realisticly who and for what i personally would like to see lebda dealt i think he is good offensivly but most times decides to pinch or rush the puck at bad times and to top it off he is soft very few times he will take the body

I some what agree, Franzen has proven he can play Holmstrom style hockey infront of the net what he lacks in tipping he makes up with way more speed,better hands and a better shot, Wings could easily save that Cap money and sign a 2nd line scorer/power forward or use that space at trade deadline. But i think alot of this is his Agent talking and not him, why leave now you have been here your whole career ok you have 1-2 yrs left in you but if the Wings want him to stay and offer him what they can im sure he is going to take it i cant see Kenny trying to rip him off.

The reason Lids takes a pay cut is because he knows that resigning at 6.5 or more will not win him a Cup, so why even bother coming back at his age if its not for a real chance to Win. This team from this season was TERRIBLE and cannot win a cup, He knows the Wings need more depth scoring and by only giving the Wings like 1mill to spend isnt going to get him anywhere near the Cup, and Homer isnt getting more then 2mill a year and is dreaming if he thinks he is, the guy is always getting hurt and for the style he plays it is more likely to happen again. I say Homer gets a 2yr 3.5-4mill,1st year like 1.5mill 2nd 3mill, Lids i say gets a 1yr 4.5-5.5mill. we cant be putting out 3rd and 4th lines like....and expect to win. Eaves-Helm-Cleary Draper-Abdlekader-Miller this is a line-up that could bring us back to the Cup if we could get a decent 3rd line Scorer like Afinegenov(not a 3rd line player but with money we save on not getting Miller,Williams back we could make a offer)thats 3 lines of good scoring and a 4th line with tons of speed that teams would hate to go against. I hate when people say why would he want to sign to play on the 3rd line ?....easy for the chance to WIN a cup, if you asked me and said you can be a number 1 line guy on the Leafs or Thrashers....or a 3rd line guy on the Wings, thats pretty easy to decide. I agree that he is getting older and ya about his back, but we seen a few times this season where Bert just flips a switch and is unstoppable, like in that Sharks series. Playing this whole season and getting workouts in all season long is huge for his back to to go a full season without any major problems.

With the skill Bert has and now some chemistry built by playing with Mule,Z and D there is no reason his numbers shouldnt get even better next season, as we all seen when Bert wants to play and drive the net there is no stopping him which besides the Mule we dont have a player like that. I say next season Bert should be able to put up 20-30G 25-35A only 4 years ago he had 71PTS that was also his last full played season until this one that just passed. Babcock should just tell Bert all he wants from him is to be parked infront of the net and when he has the puck take it hard to the net go back to the old Bert style.

How about the Hook actually being a hook not just having your stick horizontal?. Ok i get why they put the Cap in to even it out for other teams that dont have the money, but why have the lottery draft ? why not just give the worst team the #1 pick? ok the team might not be doing bad financially that finishes last but it would even out the teams skill like they are apparently trying to do.

We Defintly need secondary scoring but if we could find it in the form of a power forward thats a plus. Colby Armstrong would be perfect 6'2 190lbs defintly can put up points.

I could see Bruins moving Lucic for the right price what the Bruins lack is a goal scorer they traded Kessel and didnt replace him, well the got Satan lol but if Lucic went it would be something say like Filppula and 1-3 picks id say, not saying this would happen but something along those lines it would be to get him.

and Dont think Lids doesnt know that they need more Depth scoring. So come back at 6mill and not be able to sign some more depth, or sign at 2.5-4mill get some more depth scoring and have a real chance at lifting the Cup one more time before retiring. I wish! Flip for Lucic lol
