I dont know why everyone wants Miller and Eaves back i like Miller but Eaves does everything Miller does and seems to be more gifted offensivly. We already have 2 lines of pluggers we need to go back to 08 and get some more depth in scoring into the line-up Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Hudler Cleary-Filppula-Ritola/Tatar Eaves-Abdelkader-Helm Draper Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Hudler Cleary-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi Eaves-Helm-Ritola/Tatar Thats 3 solid scoring lines with a awsome grinding 4th line, i would love to see Tatar or Ritola in there full time next season finally get some young guys up while they are still young.

I do hope Ericcson turns out to be the D we all want him to be but i think the top pairing is to much pressure for him, right now anyways, i remember McKenzie saying that to. I wouldnt mind giving Bert 2-2.5 max to stay we can use his size thats for sure and he will defintly chip in a bunch of points. Didnt Hudler have 57pts playing limited min on the 3rd-4th lines and some PP time? i think playing full time top 2 lines there is no reason he doesnt hit 70

McGrattan is a buddy of mine i know he would love to play for a team with history like the Wings,I was also thinking Raffi Torres but Holland says cheap and Torres is defintly worth his money but i dont know how much Holland wants to spend but i would love him in the line-up he does it all.

Its not because we dont have the money well that is part of it the other part is the god damn NTC on this team like Cleary i would love to move him and his contract but he has a NTC

I dont mind not having a fighter on this team at all to be honest, we have the potential on this roster to not need and go out and get another gritty guy. If guys like Eaves,Helm,Draper,Cleary would go out there and do what they are supposed to do we are not in this situation. Lets be honest here Cleary,Eaves,Draper,Helm are not on this team to score us 50 goals, they are here to punish other players every shift by grinding them down and hitting, but it seems Abby is the only guy we can reply on to do this every shift. i think the last thing we need is another gritty 4th liner but we could use another big 3rd line power forward. I actually like Thornton over Asham only because he seems to scrap a little more and finishes alot more checks and could probably get him a little cheaper to. Bert has said he wants to stay with the Wings and he knows we dont have a ton of cap space, so obviously he knows hes not getting a ton if he stays but there is no way we are keeping Miller and Eaves its going to be Eaves that stays so with the money they are saving from Miller and Williams leaving they should be able to put something together for Bert.

We go 70 points from Z and D because of all the new guys and injuries this season, and do you really have Ericcson on the top D unit ? I wouldnt be shaocked if he put up 80pts, now playing on top 2 lines all season with top players. Not to mention the fact the he is probably going to want to make a point with everyone saying how he isnt as good as everyone makes him out to be and about him bailing on the Wings.

ya i agree with he didnt play his best some night, but nobody on this team played good in the 2nd round this whole team should have just stayed home not just Luongo,and what are they paying the Sedins for because they were nowhere to be found in the 2nd round along with Kesler and Samuelsson who all make good money.When this team wins Luongo hardly ever gets credit but when they lose all the blame is on him.

True but he is one of the Best in the game didnt Kari Lehtonen just get like 3.5Mill and what has he done ? He plays well for them but the D is weak on that team no doubt about it. and 5mill isnt that bad when like i said guys like Lehtonen is getting 3.5 and what is Huet getting about the same as Luongo i think. you put Luo on the Wings we walk all over every team in the West with our D, alot does rest on the shoulders of Luo but i think its easy to see there are other players and reason for this team losing

I disagree i think the Canuks D is weak with Salo hurt,Mitchell out and thats about all they have well Edler to, The Forwards just couldnt get it done after unloading in the 1st round Kesler,Burrows,Raymond,Wellwood didnt do anything in this series and the Sedins and Samuelsson cooled right off. The Nucks need more depth on D 100%

I think the Wings need to get some goal scorers into the system with this draft, we have alot of young D prospects already and a bunch of role players and grinders but i couple more snipers would be nice to have developing also

I dont think size matters in the NHL anymore if your a skilled player it doesnt thats for sure, ya it would be nice to have a big hard hitting 3rd/4th liner, but when you are a scorer size doesnt matter anymore. plus he is only 17 he could still grow a little more and could defintly beef up another 10Lbs, when i was 17 i was 5'11 like 185lbs the next summer i was 6'2 200, so you never know i think what the hell if he is still around take him.

Jeff Skinner some people had him on there Mock Drafts going in the top 10 but NHL central scouting list has him ranked #34 hes only 17 he is small at 5'10" 197LBS he might get a little bigger, but he is what the Wings need RW sniper he had 50G 40A in i think 62GP there was only one other 50 goal scorer in the OHL this year with 53 Bryan Cameron but hes already drafted.

His english is pretty good for a Russian usually they dont speak it so well,most of them anyway

I havent seen all these guys play so im not sure but Bob McKenzie said that yes this years draft isnt as strong as years before it but he also said anywhere from 1-20 pick could win the Calder once getting to the NHL after that he said your looking at alot of role players, now im not sure because once again i havent seen alot of them play, but i just suggest moving cleay one because he is a older player and also because he is overpayed on this Wings team, so more just to make more cap space.

trade the pick and Cleary, to move up a bit
