As we all seen in the 7-1 game what Bertuzzi can do on any given night so having him on the 3rd line i think would be alright plus he still gives us a little more size upfront.

Thoughts about the future.

Not sure how true it its or correct but i heard that after we sign Lids and Homer i think it was either Mckenzie or Dreger said both Lids and Homer will be back then said after we sign them we would have 15-18mill to spend on filling in the roster

maltby i think is done, Draper probably finishes his contract but as a 13th forward,i like Miller but i think Bertuzzi and Eaves did better then him this season, i wouldnt mind Bert on the 3rd line and Eaves on the 4th, i also agree with the guy that said bring some young guys in i said this before the season before Williams was signed, i think the Wings are the only team that rides guys out like this and has 26yr old rookies, dont get me wrong i like to let them develope but not for like 5-7 years. i think the Wings will/do need. 1. Someone to replace Lids when he reitres obviously 2. A Lucic type of player like Bertuzzi in his younger years, someone who wont cost us while he's out there, can scrap and chip in with points ( Abby could be this guy though) 3. A sniper either by trade/draft/in the system already someone who can just put the puck in the net 4. I wouldnt mind i big D man, the West seems to get bigger and bigger every year, so just someone to match up in size and doesnt get pushed around so easily.

Coliacovo has been out with legit injuries knee on knee 2 times. So is Franzen made of glass ? (fight) (hit) (hit)Everybody has some bad luck sometimes but at his salary he is a steal if we got him good playmaker for a D, hits hard and is a quick skater

I have no problem trading Cleary to free up space, i like him as a player when he's on his game, but i think he is way overpayed, then again i think Rafalski is about a 1-2 mill overpayed also. I liked when we had Conklin and him and Ozzy pretty much split the games, i wouldnt mind doing that again picking up a goalie to split with Howie.But i defintly think Coliacovo is a steal at that price, like i said earlier 6'1 200lbs alright size D and 32pts in 67gp, obviously wouldnt be our top pairing but would be a great 2nd or 3rd

lol ya i really like it Tootoo is a guy that will scrap if we need him to and would bring it every shift, and he's not one of those goons that wont be putting up points. Id really like him and he does have one more year left i think but if Draper retired. I like either Volchenkov or Willie Mitchell, Mitchell isn't going to be putting up Lidstrom numbers at all but he has only been a minus player 2 times in his career so far once in 99 in the AHL and once in 2000 in the NHL other then that always a plus player. Another player i like is Coliacovo for STL he has been injured the last 2 season only playing 63 last season and 67 this season but had 32pts and was a +8, he's only 26 and makes only 1.4mill right now. you look at all the talk about Hamhuis this trade deadline and Coliacovo had 8 more points in 11 less GP. So if lids retires you could probably get both Volchenkov or Mitchell and Coliacovo for less then we were paying Lids D: Volchenkov Mitchell Coliacovo What about a guy like Jordin Tootoo tough kid plays hard every shift hits,fights everything 16pts in 51 games this season and only making like 900k Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Zetterberg-Filppula-Hudler Cleary-Helm-Tootoo Eaves-Abdelkader-Draper Volchenkov/Mitchell-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Coliacovo-Lilja Ericcson

Just some random questions.

Exactly i wouldnt mind Price and Howard splitting the 82 games at all i live in Hamilton and watched him play a ton when he was here, there is way to much pressure on him to be the next Roy or Dryden in Montreal.

This is not all Howards fault our offense is dead, Z and D cant get going at the same time Mule is nowhere to be found, our D is getting pushed around and Howard isnt playing good either this team all around is playing like s***

I think Howard is going to be a good NHL goalie, and i think by pulling him and putting in Ozzy would kill Howards confidence or whats left of it. So thats why i think they are leaving Howard in, seems crazy but i do think getting pulled and having Ozzy come in after all the confidence Hoawrd built by having a great reg season would just kill it all.

I think he's done to, not because he can't play anymore but because in his head he must read/hear that people are saying he has lost it and now potentially being swept by the Sharks he might be thinking it could be because of his play. I think he should come back one more year and play on the 2nd pairing there would be less pressure on him on that unit and would probably be the best 2nd unit Dman in the league. i like the idea of Armstrong in for Bert,but Kozlov for Williams i dont think i like to much how about.I also like the idea of bringing in Ritola i think the Wings are the only team that lets there players develope this long still in the AHL, I do like that they give them time but i also think we need to slowly start bringing them up and let them play with the big boys.
