Being from Hamilton i got to watch Price play alot, Hamilton is like the Wings there is always questions about goalies but not to much pressure, they always say Osgood/Howard couldn't get wins but they always ebd up pulling them out. Ive been saying for a couple years now that Price would fit in good with the Wings there is way to much pressure in Montreal on goalies they think/want all there goalies to be the next Dryden/Roy and when they arent that good they wanna kill the goalie. With the Wings we never needed that all-star goalie just a goalie that could make that save when the other team finally can get one, and i think Price is that type of goalie. I actually think Flip is more then enough for Price, he hasnt done so good this year and last year was a little bit better. I think we could probably send a prospect and a couple picks To Habs- Emmerton or McGrath 1st round pick,3rd Round pick,5th round pick To Wings- Price You also have to consider Flip is going to be a better NHL player then Price will be, and the Habs are probably more interested in getting prospects and picks over a NHL player now, kinda same type of deal between NJ and ATL

If the Wings lose to terrible reffing im going to be pissed! i dont mind if we lose by being outplayed but not like last game. I will watch as far as the Bruins go, growing up i watched 2 teams Wings and Bruins i ended up a Wings fan but i still like to watch the Bruins, and saying that i hate almost every team left in the playoffs ill be cheering for them if we go out.

Im watching the Habs Caps game during the intermission they said Yzerman and 2 others are high on the list for the job, and the Wings have gave Tamps permission to speak with Stevie, they also went on to say say he might actually consider taking it with Holland getting a new extension. PS they just played the new Datysuk history will be made commercial AWSOME.

they actually just said on TSN depending on how fast he heals he could be back for the next series if the Pens move on, but now they are saying he won't be out for the rest of the playoffs, i like Staal but its nice to see the Pens get a set back like the Wings did all season.

I am willing to bet anything Kronwall has some sort of injury 100%!. Yes he is playing good positional hockey but he is getting pushed around in the corners,infront of the net all around battles and is even taken more hits then giving out. It almost like he doesnt have the strength like a pulled muscle or something like that. But i do agree this team would benefit HUGE of one of his hits or even a missed attempt at one not only the team will get pumped up from it, it will slow the other team down through the neutral zone knowing that potential death could happen from one of his bangers.

Backstrom is a alright playmaker right now and will get better in the years to come, but he is still more of a natural goal scorer then playmaker, just imagine the numbers Ovi could put up with a legit playmaker.

I feel bad for the guy when they win no matter what this team does everything falls on his shoulders its gotta be tough on him, this team needs some more help on D i've heard Volchenkov could test free agency and they might go after him, and also Semin,Ovechkin and Backstrom are all goals scorers you could see it first hand tonight they need a playmaker on this team to help out ovi and the other guys. A guy like Savard,Datsyuk,Thornton someone to set up.

Do you guys think there should be another award for D-men for top offensive D-men instead of just the Norris?. Mike Green is a good offensive D-men but not one of the top Defensive D guys in the League. I think the League gets blinded by guys like Green who are ok on D but put up points like a forward. I think the Norris should be for the Best D-man and should have like a Coffey or Orr award for best offensive D-man.

If Doan is out again you stack the top line Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Id go with Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Zetterberg-Filppula-Abdelkader/Bertuzzi Miller-Abdelkader-Cleary Eaves-Helm-Draper id also split Rafalski and Lids spread there offensive skill out Stuart-Rafalski Kronwall-Lidstrom Lilja-Ericcson and i would start the game with Helm-Abdelkader-Eaves Kronwall-Stuart not letting the set the tempo get these guys out there fast skating some big hits right away get the Wings into the game

Listen there is no way the Wings should lose this game , NO WAY. If Datsyuk,Zetterberg,Holmstrom,Franzen,Filppula all show up to play tomorrow night we should have this win easy. I wouldnt mind taking a run at Bryz either i know its cheap but its playoffs and Doan did it to Howard. It seems the only thing keeping them in this series is Bryz so why not have Miller or someone drive the net and give him a run try and get him off his game. We also have to pressure them when they have a PP especially there point, all there goals are coming from the D, we have the most passive PK in the playoffs

Hudler, 26, has informed Red Wings GM Ken Holland that he will be back with the team next season, with an official announcement coming in the next few days. Hudler has a two-year contract with Detroit with an annual cap hit of $2.875 million, a deal awarded via arbitration last summer. This past season, Hudler played for Dynamo Moscow of the KHL, but was recently released from his contract as the team battles financial woes. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Abdelkader-Helm-Cleary Eaves-Draper-Miller Stuart-Rafalski Lidstrom-Kronwall Lilja-Ericcson Howard Osgood I think with Doan out they should have run these lines, with Z and D on the same line i know they did it a little but the Yotes are a young team and sooner or later that Z and D line would have got to them, and Lidstrom i think on the 2nd pairing is good he has gotten burned a few times by the speed of them but its like splitin' D and Z with him and Rafalski, adds that little extra thing to worry about for the yotes 2nd line, and Flip just needs to shoot more so many times he passes up on a shot.

Dont forget yes Hudler has been away for 1 season but he did play with Z and Flip before, i love Bert but he doesn't exactly play the game like a guy his size should not like his old Nucks days. The line of Bert,Flip,Z has been split up alot to the last couple games also. If Hudler can put up 70pts playing like 80% of the season on the 3rd line then yes i would have him on the 2nd line. Plus this is what we have pre-season for.

Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Zetterberg-Filppula-Hudler Cleary-Helm-Bertuzzi Eaves-Abdelkader-Draper Miller? Ritola? Cleary is no way better then 2nd line tops but id defintly run these lines if we had these players next season.

I'd go with Franzen-Datsyuk-Kovalchuk Zetterberg-Filppula-Holmstrom Eaves-Helm-Cleary Draper-Abdelkader-Miller Ritola

I also think Lidstrom will take less money if he decides to come back, not because he isn't playing like his old self but because he wants to win one more. Knowing how tight the Wings are to the cap and knowing that if he took less money they could go out and get some more scoring or something i think thats the reason he takes less, to help out the team.
