OK Lidstrom is awsome but you cannot compare him to Orr at all, Orr was on another level, lets not forget the NHL was alot tougher back then with alot more cheap shots and Orr payed the price because of them with a short career. Look at what Orr accomplished in his short career imagine what it would be if he played a 18yr career like Lidstrom. Lidstrom will go down as one of the best D of all time no doubt about that.

So im going to get a new tattoo and ive narrowed it down to 2 ideas i have, 1) was thinking of just getting the Winged Wheel and maybe a ribbon around it saying Don't Stop Believing. 2) A Stanley Cup with a Octopus in the Cup with the legs hanging out and have every year we have won a cup on the cup. Any thought or suggestions?

Maybe ill do the Winged Wheel with a banner saying Don't Stop Believing and then like a smokey effect around it with the years all around like scattered 36,37,43,50,52,54,55,97,98,02,08

ya i havent been able to decide its been almost a year since i came up with those ideas, there both awsome i think and cant make up my mind. LOL i asked my GF for her opinion and all she said was i was crazy for getting a Wings symbol tattoo'd on me and my response was its not crazy its passion/loyalty lol. Maybe i should just get it on my back a Big Winged Wheel across my shoulders and below it the Pens, Hawks, Avs symbols and have the Winged Wheel Pissing on them lol.

well im a big guy about 6'2 220 and have a few tattoos now mostly on my right arm and im thinking of getting a sleeve on my right arm so it will be pretty big and i will have alot of space. Lids leaving is going to hurt real bad but i put all my faith in Holland with that extra cap he will bring in a good D to fill in. Obviously nothing can be brought in to replace Big Nick but we could potentially lose 1 great D-Man and bring in 2 good ones and strengthen the D unit as a whole guys like Seidenberg,Volchencov,Mitchell,Hamhuis. or could spend a good chunk on Neidemier or Gonchar Ya none can fill the shoes of lids but we could be running Kronwall-Rafalski Stuart-Volchenkov Lilja-Mitchell( or any other one of those guys i named) and still have about 700k left from Nicks contract.you could even take out Lilja and add in Hamhuis and spend Nicks contract on those 2 guys. Once again it is going to suck big time when the day comes and Nick is gone but i dont think its going to be as bad statistically as it will be losing a hockey legend.

Scrap Williams at 1.5M 15pts in 41GP / how about Comrie 1.12M 17pts in 40GP Comrie cheaper and has put up as many points as Williams on a brutal team who has had alot of injuries to. But i think Comrie would be a great 3rd line center. 05-06 60pts-80GP 06-07 20pts-24GP 07-08 49pts-76GP

I don' think the Wings are keeping both Miller and Eaves as much as id like them to stay i think with alot of young guys options being up this year 1 will go and i think Bert will sign for 2-2.25 range he obviously likes it in Detroit, ya he has had a great season for us but im sure he knows we are tight to the Cap and will offer him as much as they can and not rip him off for one, second he is getting up there in age so he probably won't want to move again. 2.7 if thats for all of them no way Helm and Abby will get raises this off-season especailly Helm. Im not sure of the station it was on but i was scanning my radio stations while driving and they were saying that the Calder has already been decided and its going to Myers. Once again they said the reason was Howards age that hurt him,regardless i don't think Myers or Duchene could have had the seasons they have had if they went through what Howard has. With all the injuries to the Wings for him to come in and play the way he has,put up the numbers and keep us close enough to contend for the playoffs once we were healthy is reason enough to give it to Howard.

Nabokov also has a better team around him, Luongo i believe showed in the Olympics why he is better, Nabokov i think is really overrated he is a good goalie but is really streaky and seems to have no heart when hes playing score one on him and looks like he gives up.

He will stay but Holland isnt going to low ball him either they both know about the Cap situation here in the D, plus im sure Howard has alot of friends on this team being here for so long already. 750k id offer him 6.5mill/3yrs 2.16mill a season or something. thats if they go short term with him. but you never know Kenny like throwing these long term deals out to. how about a 7 year deal, lock him up until hes 33, which i wouldn't mind ive always liked Howard and even more now because of this season and i think he is only going to get better. 7yrs/24.5mill/3.5 per season seems like alot from his 750k but im sure if he has this type of season next year alot of teams would be willing to offer even more. I watch alot of Football/Soccer and the fans yes i know they are CRAZY but they have there own song for every team/country and the claps they do during matches. AVS good young team,but thats why a YOUNG team Holmstrom has more playoff expiernece then that whole team. Honestly though the Wings are rolling now and besides Loungo and Bryzgolov i think Wings have the best goalie, Nabakov gives up 1 goal and stops trying,Huet enough said. I remember when people where saying the Wings couldnt beat Hiller he would shut us down, because of his play the round before and during the season, then he got the Wings and was getting peppered with like 40-55 shots a game. I think Wings fans should just start the Journey song throughout the game, don't wait for it to come on over the speakers just start singing it at random times. Im sure when the Wings players hear us scream SOOUTH DETROIT it gets them pumped up.
