You dont have to be big in the new NHL look at guys like St. Louis what does he have this year like 80pts with being able to hold and hook like the big guys use to be able to do to the smaller guys and push them around. It's not like the Wings are built on size anyway lol

I persoally never like seeig anyone get hurt minus guys like Cooke ad dirty players,BUT all year Hawks fans have been bragging about being top in the West ad sayig how Wings are dead and were using our injuries as an excuse not that its going to matter to them now, ad i dot know the seriousness of Seabrooks injury and with Campbell out. If the Hawks wet home first round they would 100% blame these injuries. Hope Seabrook is OK though i think he is one of the best D in the league.

ok but how can you say that when guys like Bertuzzi have been playing top 2 lines all season and have like 37 points, ya we had injuries and i like Bertuzzi but he is more of a 3rd liner over Hudler or even Cleary 29 points ya he missed like 9-10 games but Hudler is also better then him for a 2nd liner. Why do people say he is bad at the D side of the game? the last time he was a minus was 03, and from 03 to his last season he was +33

Don't forget he is still young and developing in 3 years he went from 25pts to 42pts to 57pts

He put up 57 his last season with the wings...mostly on the 3rd line

I don't understand why people don't what Huds back he could easily put up 70pts on either the 1st or 2nd line of this team. How can you complain about getting a guy back like this when this team has a overpayed underpreforming Dan Cleary on the 2nd line? He has been a ghost this season along with the on and off again play with Bertuzzi. Hudler is a great young player which will help this team and give us a much better 2nd unit PP.

What about RFA's who do you guys think is worth the cost ? i'd say the only ones i'd pay the price for are Backstrom,Kesler and maybe...maybe Ryan. I wouldn't mind it at ll if Kenny boy gve up some picks for these guys especially Backstrom as young as he is hes awsome now and is only getting better. I'm not sure but what exactly does it cost for say i guy like Backstrom ? Drake you seem to know alot in this area.

There are so many options this off-season for the Wings, guys i wouldn't bring back Meech,Lebda,Maltby(only because i think Abby will replace him),Williams,Miller. I know they have alot more money but the teams that move up usually don't get an upgrade right away , they make money after 1st season of playing popular teams all the time. would be sweet if they did something like that, other then that i wish they got rid of the *** cap or say they set it 60mill and for every 1mill a team goes over they pay like 100k or something like that. I think as bad as Tampa and Atlanta and other teams like that if they went out and brought in top players more fans would be in attendance,sales would go up on merch.

How about if they did it like soccer, they either raise the cap or just have a set cap and if you go over it you pay fines and then the bottom 2 teams in the West and bottom 2 in the East go down to the AHL and the top 2 in the West and top 2 in the East come up the the NHL.

It would be like a great sports movie the Wings battle injuries and bad play all season long get healthy and sneak into the playoffs, upsetting teams and winning the Cup. I would love to see this happen and wait to see what everyone has to say, after hearing all these people say how the "mighty wings have fallen","time to rebuid" comments it would be sweet.

I think Landon Ferraro is overlooked big time, I believe he was supposed to go like 14th in the draft and we got him like 30th. I don't hear or see his name alot in prospect talks but ive seen him play a couple times live and seen some videos online i think he is going to be a great player. He's like a Helm type player but with alot better scoring touch.

No matter if you like him or not, you are NOT going to find another UFA/RFA out there that can put up his points, already knows the system and has chemistry with the guys on the team. He comes back you have an instant impact player, you get someone new and it takes them a 10-15 games to get some chemistry and the system down. 35 goals if he was healthy and we still had all our injuries. Fully healthy team i think he could have had 50, he is improving a ton every season.
