    Retired Jerseys?

Lidstrom 100% goes up, Datsyuk and Zetterberg could both go up,Osgood maybe, what about Maltby or Draper they might not have the crazy number but both have the Cups and were the best 4th/grind line for years and both were a big part in winning those Cups.

Questions about potential next year's roster

i think the fact that they didn't play that bad at all considering the guys that were out, and will defintly be better with better talent around them. Kindl didnt play any worse then Lebda and Ericcson have all season.

I relize that i was just using him as an example of what the team could look like with another player in there with that salary he just happened to be put in

Questions about potential next year's roster

I think Hudler coming back would be great for this team 57pts on the 3rd line isn't something to many teams have,ya im pissed he left us but come on if you were him you would leave to make 2mill or 10mill a season ? not to many people are going for the 2 especially a young guy Franzen(3.9)-Datsyuk(6.7)-Holmstrom(1.5) Zetterberg(6)-Flip(3)-Hudler(2.5) Cleary(2.5)-Wellwood(1.5)-Ritola(600k) Abdelkader(1)-Helm(750k)-Draper(1.6) Eaves(500k) Lidstrom(4)-Kronwall(3.25) Rafalski(6)-Stuart(3.75) Lilja(1.25)-Kindl(800k) Ericcson(900k) Howard(750k) Osgood(1.4) $54,150,000 I believe Ritola's contract is up this year which means he has to be signed to a big club one or he leaves for picks, i think its time we start giving some of these young guys more of a chance. Instead of having older guys like Bertuzzi and Williams in there why not plus leaves some Cap space to make some changes and what not throughout the year.

    No suspension for Cooke

To be honest what the f*** is the difference why should you be aloud to shoulder blindside someone in the head or elbow blindside someone in the head it's simple headshot is a headshot Cormier for example Suspend it everytime thats the only way to solve it. Depending on the persons injury that got hit the more it is. It should be matching you put a guy out for the season your out for the season to.Start to fine players things like this have to happen, it's sad when the OHL is setting rules and examples for the NHL, we might as well just let it be alright for guys to start McSorley'ing,Bertuzzi'ing eachother out there.

    No suspension for Cooke

and if they don't do something about these heashots everytime it happens it will never stop, this isn't cooke's first time either!, remember he took a run at Duncan Keith and clipped his head then Keith later on tried taking off Cooke's head for pay back.
  18. king_malice

    No suspension for Cooke

Police themselves ? thats what is happening now and they still don't stop themselves from almost killing eachother out there!. It wasnt even a shoulder to the head it was straight elbow to the chin. Terrible decision by the league, you put Cindy Crysby in instead of Savard and have a guy like Thornton from the Bruins hitting him the exact same way and we all know what would happen.
  19. king_malice

    No suspension for Cooke

Rules aside its about respect, knowing you can't make that hit clean you don't make it, it's as simple as that especially from the blind side.

Who should we go after in FA this offseason?

I kind of agree with you, i think thats what he is going to be asking himself this off-season. He isn't playing like his old self this season but yes is still better then 90% of the league, but i'm sure he will be thinking 1) do i come back 1 more season and end my career with a bad season or end it now with a great career and 2) do i come back and take away alot of cap space from the team when they could go get some more players, and if i do come back for 1 season not allowing the Wings to have that much spending money and have a bad season that would be the worst way i think for him to leave the league/team. maybe he will come back and be on the 2nd pairing could you imagine he signed a 1yr-2/3mill contract which he might because eve if he has a bad season he gave the team the chance to have a ton of cap space and sign someone

Who should we go after in FA this offseason?

No matter what Hudler will still play better and score more then Cleary,Miller,Williams,Bertuzzi and he can't be any lazier then the way half our team is playing now.

Who should we go after in FA this offseason?

Franzen(5.5)-Datsyuk(6.7)-Holmstrom(1.5) Zetterberg(7.4)-Flip(3)-Hudler(2.5) Cleary(2.5)-Wellwood(1.5)-Ritola(535k) Abdelkader(1)-Helm(750k)-Draper(1.6) Eaves(500k) Lidstrom(4)-Kronwall(3.25) Rafalski(6)-Stuart(3.75) Lilja(1.25)-Kindl(800k) Ericcson(900k) Budaj(1.75) Howard(750k) 57,9435,000 still over the cap but i would like to see a young guy in the line-up instead of Williams or Bertuzzi just an idea. no need for stupid comments im not saying this is going to happen or saying they are going to make this much just saying IF

Who should we go after in FA this offseason?

http://www.sportscity.com/nhl/2010-nhl-unrestricted-free-agents-by-position/ I dont think it's weak at all we don't need a top 3 forward, if anything we need a 2nd line goal scorer, a goalie and a D depeing on what Big Nick does. Goalies: i wouldn't mind ( they should go back to like when we had Conklin and when ozzy could play and split the games 2 alright goalies Howard being one) *Dan Ellis (NSH)2mill now *Chris Mason (STL)3mill now *Peter Budaj (COL)1.25mill now Defense: *Carlo Colaiacovo(STL)1.4mill now Willie Mitchell (VAN)3.5mill now Anton Volchenkov(OTT)3.2mill now Forwards: Ruslan Fedotenko(PIT)1.8mill now Marek Svatos (COL)2.35mill now, having a bad season but has potential *Kyle Wellwood(VAN)1.2mill now *Tomas Plekanec(MON)2.7mill now * players i would defintly be going after( dont resign Maltby,Miller,Lebda,Williams,Bertuzzi,Meech) bring up Abby and Kindl and lets get something going here!with the amount of UFA/RFA we have this upcomign off-season we have the chance to do a quick fix to this team without going through these rebuild periods. Borque and Stajan have both signed contracts.

    where is our 2nd line?

Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Zetterberg-Filppula-Bertuzzi Miller-Cleary-Williams Eaves-Helm-Draper Z looks like he doesn't even care out there, I'd be running these lines, I might even take Miller out and Put in Abby. To bad Datsyuk is on the first line cause Bertuzzi plays well with him but i wouldn't give Bertuzzi 1st line min until he picks up his game.
