Ken Holland just did a interview on TSN and said he has gotten some calls but doesn't expect to make any moves today. Unless its a salary in salary out deal because "we only have a few hundred thousand dollars space" said maybe in the off-season the situation could be different. He also says he wants to hang on to picks and prospects and get the system "replenished" again.

I believe the Wings won't make some Blockbuster deal maybe a small one though. I do recall Ken Holland saying last season during free agency they wouldn't make a big splash then next thing we have Hossa. Same as Calgary they said they weren't after Bouwmeester then the got him, then this year they weren't looking to make moves yet and then Phanuef,jokenin are both gone in 2 days i think most GMs just say these things to keep the rumors and media quiet.

And thats why PAVS is the best player in the league!!! Crosby or Ovechkin can't handle or make plays like that nor are they even close to his level on D

So this is what the Wings were supposed to look/play like when Ken Holland built them in the off-season. It's only 15 min in but already 2-0 Wings but its nice to see them with old school Wings passing and play maker, puck control, and hustle. I'm finally enjoying watching the Wings play again.

To Det: Ponikarovsky To Tor: Williams or Bertuzzi,Lebda,2nd Round Pick Is more likely to happen. Bertuzzi also played for Burke in Van and Burke offered him another contract in ANA, i think the Make Me Laughs are more intrested into getting picks over anything else.

If Butttman doesn't let NHLer's go guys like Malkin and Ovechkin have already said they are going no matter what even if it means fines and suspension. Buttman needs to go anyway can't stand him hate everything about him.

You forgot the 3 or 4 times US got away with too many men or when Parise knocked down the puck with a high stick!. Reffing was great both teams got away with stuff they gave them there chances on the PP and then let them play without having weak call after weak call.

Last night i had a dream that the Wings traded Filppula and Lebda with a 3rd round pick to the Kings for Jack Johnson. Just a dream but with Lidstrom and Rafalski getting up there in age, do you think the Wings would make a move for Johnson (23yrs old-1.425mill contract). There are rumors the Kings would be willing to move him for a top six forward. I think Johnson is a awsome D but i like Flip not to sure if i would trade him.

I agree that's why i said i wouldn't trade Flip for him, The potential is there with Johnson and he has talent now but maybe a season or to with guys like Lidstrom and Rafalski could help turn him into a top D. But defintly not for the price of Flip.

The first set of lines i think are good because it forces teams to have to shut down 2 lines that have skill and can score instead of the one line with Z and Dats on it together. (1)Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Cleary/Williams Miller-Filppula-Williams/Cleary Draper-Helm-Eaves Lidstrom-Kronwall Rafalski-Stuart Ericsson-Lilja Howard Osgood (2)Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom(extra scoring power) Franzen-Filppula-Williams(I think Williams has a better shot then Cleary also better natural scorer) Bertuzzi-Cleary-Miller(grinding goals from this line hopefully,Cleary is also 50% on faceoffs this season) Draper-Helm-Eaves Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Ericsson-Lilja Howard Osgood

Datsyuk is better then them both maybe not this year but all round player he is better.
