its not going to take kronwall flip helm and howard thats crazy why do you think LA is the top runner right now for him tons of young players and draft picks and the other rumor is bruins might be willing to move chara so dont be surprised if he goes and one of those first round picks from the leafs go to i think i good offer from the wins realisticly would be flip,abdelkader/meech/lebda,first round pick this year and a pick for next year. your not gonna find to many other teams that could offer a guy like flip easily a 1st liner on other teams but goes anywhere from 1st -3rd when the wings are healthy. thrashers want young guys and picks theyre not looking for a 1 for 1 trade i doubt like the canes might move stall i cant see them doing that probably gonna go young and rebuild franzen-datsyuk-kovalchuck williams-zetterberg-bertuzzi lieno-helm-cleary miller-draper-maltby lidstrom-rafalski kronwall-ericcson stuart-janik thats moving or without in the lineup holmstrom(free agent at the end of season) lebda,meech,flip that clears up about 6.4million and kovalchuks cap hit for the 09-10 season is 6.4million now if you move holstrom,lebda,meech,flip and possible picks i know seems like alot but imagine the wings with a "PURE" goal scorer playing with datsyuk the wings have plenty of young guys coming up......just a thought but still an amazing line setup ^ with kovy

i agree with giving ang getting but if its anyone it has to be abdelkader ...helm is just to good all around ,abdelkader is to but helm has the speed id like to see rafalski stay though because nick Sr. is coming to the end and rafalski will be needed to QB the PP...id like to see meech,lebda, which could happen in the off season because im pretty sure meech,lebda,lidstrom,maltby,holmstrom are all free agents so it will be interesting to see what holland does.

alright im watching the wings isles game not only there flat tonight to brutally soft play of meech and lebda makes me think these guys would fit in good in a non contact beer league team at my arena. its kinda sad to see pro d-men turn away from hits young guys to when you have older guys like draper and maltby hammering guys every chance they get these 2 guys meech and lebda need to go !

steffan would be a better fit for the wings he is a tougher d-man takes the body more then lebda wings have enough offensive d-men lidstrom rafalski meech the could use a little more muscle i think hes worth it

exactly even if he wanted to come back and as good as he was how can you let a guy back in your locker room after he walks away from the team when he seen hossa conklin samuelsson kopecky and then for him to leave money was more important to this guy then his team and team mates where so i say f*** him or let him come back and trade his ass!

i think the red wings should try and move multiple players this year !! lieno,eaves,meech,williams and dan cleary cleary hasnt been playing like previous well when he was in the line up we have a bunch of free agents coming up to lidstrom,lilja,maltby,lebda and holmstrom combined roughly 10mill cap give or take any ideas on possible trades moves or anything i have a feeling this might be it for lidstrom he said theres no way hes playing til 50 hopefully he helps out the team if he returns and signs something like 1-2 years -700,000k -1mill that alone clears from him 7.5mill now

ya for flip its a bad deal but not for lieno toskala has been playing good lately he cant help it that hes on a s***ty team lol .....kopitar is a free agent at the end of the year and there is a vid of him on youtube in a interview saying if he could play with anyone it would be datsyuk and there has been rumors that he wont resign so lets send lieno and flip for kopitar!

i live about 25 min from toronto and ive been hearing alot of rumors going around here radio mostly that the wings could send filppula or lieno and picks to the leafs for toskala and stepniak i hope they dont move flip !

first off there is no way chicago signs kovy ! your out of your mind if you think there is a way! and what about phanuef to the wings ! lidstrom is a 7.5mill player and is in the last year of his contract not sayin lidstrom is the one to get traded because that wont happen but lieno couple prospects maybe ,maybe meech ,lebda also free agent after this season just saying might be some possibilties of a package deal

the only trade i think is realistic is lieno,maybe lebda and maybe some other guys in the AHL but thats about it i just hope we dont lose anyone for nothing in the off season like samuelsson,hudler,kopechky....

kovy has already stated multiple times hes not looking for money so if lidstrom does retire that opens 7.5mill not including if more players walk so if kovy signs at 7mill and has a chance to play with players like franzen datsyuk and zetterberg i think the odds of him coming to the D is better then we think its all a matter if holland wants to spend 7 mill on 1 guy or 3.5 and get 2

dont get me wrong those guys were playing half decent but thats how the trade game works nobody wants to make a trade when say holmstrom is 35 games in and has 5 points you need to make moves when there playing good theres no intrest when there playing like s***, i would love to see homer stay and i would also like to see a move made and lose him for nothing in the offseason and i bet there are a bunch of teams interested in lieno hes young has the talent but just isnt showing it right now maybe we could work out a miracle package and get kaberle lol just sayin teams like the leafs islanders would take a guy like that

ya i know cleary has been out but while he was playing he didnt have the same jump he had previously holmstrom could be moved to hes getting up there in age is still a top 6 forward and is a free agent at the end of this season

i can see lidstrom coming back cheap if he was to come back he has plenty of money and im sure if he knows by signing a minimum contract will let the wings sign a top guy he would do it

i agree with that guy goaltending is not our problem its the injuries we lost a s*** load of guys in the off season so we needed to build chemistry then one by one we started losing players every game. once we get the big boys back into the line up its a different story we can go from having janik and miller and abdelkader 2nd line PP to having franzen flip and knronwall williams etc.... as long as we can keep grinding out wins and stay close enough we should be alright...i read a interview the other day asking lindstrom if he would play until he was 50 he laughed and said no chance and if im not mistakin his contract is up this year im a little worried although he looks a little slow this year and is still getting the job done but if he does leave along with some other players we can afford to let go we would have a bunch of cap to spend any thought ?!
