She pulls off that outfit way better than her brother ever could though...just sayin'

I can't resist. Plethera? Don't you mean "a plethora"? Jefe, what is a plethora? Well you told me I had a plethora & I would just like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora & then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora. And while right now there appears that there will be a plethora of available forwards hitting the market this summer, there are no guarantees. See Anaheim: Getzlaf, Ryan & Anaheim: Perry, Corey as two that people were salivating about hitting the open market who now won't. And with every one that signs, the potential price to keep Flip goes up & up like a piñata at El Guapo's birthday party.

Have you been watching the same Keating I have? John Keating right? He of the over-extended metaphor in every intro/interview?

Part of me wants to see DeKeyser sign but the dark part of me wants to see him go somewhere else just to see LGW explode...you know fire & brimstone coming down from the skies, rivers & seas boiling, forty years of darkness, eathquakes, volcanos, the dead rising from the grave, human sacrifice, dogs & cats living together...mass hysteria

Dreger: Wings 'very interested' in Bouwmeester *merged*
ogreslayer replied to b.shanafan14's topic in General
I think Calgary should offer him to Peter Chiarelli first, only have have J-Bo block the trade & force the Flames to send him somewhere else -
Will they be more likely to goon it up now when they're losing with Inginla there instead?
-
Proabably has to do with the fact that not all 30 teams were interested as much in those other players that have signed.
-
I would be very surprised if the Pens retain any of the 3 they traded for actually. They've only got about $10.6m to spend next season with only 8 forwards, 6 d-men, & 2 goalies on the roster and have to face re-signing Malkin, Orpik, & Letang the season after. All of these moves are about this season & this season only.

Did Shero also eat a whole wheel of cheese & poop in the refrigerator? He really is like a tiny Buddha covered in hair.
-
Hoping this turns into the Pens version of the Wings 1999 deadline deals that brough Cheli, Ulf Samuelsson, Wendel Clark, & Bill Ranford to town.
-
But the POTUS would probably get more ice time.
-
Wouldn't be shocked to see Pulkkinen pulled over to GR for some games yet this season. Put him on Jarnkrok's wing & see what they can do.

Quote Am I the only one who gets depressed a bit reading up on prospects who say they watched players like Z & Pavs "growing up"? Man I feel old right now.

DeKeyser's a junior technically. He's at 3.5 years with summer courses & is skipping his senior season.

Just missing the Miller Lite & Nathan's Hot Dogs sponsor patches.

This whole exercise is not about "driving up the value" on DeKeyser given that there are limits to the contract he can sign. It's all about giving him the chance to be "wined & dined" by the teams that want to show up to make their case. Call it the "Zach Parise Treatment" & it might be the only chance he has to go through a circus like this depending on how he actually pans out. Personally, I don't buy into the Oilers being in the running let alone the front runner given that they're an absolute cluster-f*** of an organization. The reason they landed Schultz is because of his desire to play close to home. For all the vaunted young talent they have, they are nowhere close to putting it together before they have to start breaking the team apart because they can't afford everyone. They have 11 top 25 picks in their line-up right now & what do they have to show for it? What would the Wings have done with that opportunity? We all know what good organizations (think Blackhawks & Pens) did with opportunities like that. The Oil? Not...even...close. There's a much greater chance the Wings lose him to an Anaheim, Nashville, or St. Louis than Edmonton.

Last I saw is that it will be Thursday or Friday.

This just in, Quincey back sooner than expected: Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive1m Kyle Quincey won't need surgery for his fractured cheek bone. Will be back sooner than expected, Holland said. Maybe 2 more weeks If this impacts the ice time the Wings could promise DeKeyser, could we have someone promptly start punching Q in the face right now?

Brian Burke is currently trying to convince Bob Murray to trade two #1's & a 2nd to the Gophers for her.

Douglas Murray to Pittsburgh, Confirmed, Awaiting full details
ogreslayer replied to evilzyme's topic in General
My favorite comment on the two Pens' trades this week so far: Down Goes Brown @DownGoesBrown22m Based on the acquisitions of Morrow and Murray, I think it’s safe to say the Penguins are going all-in on winning the 2010 Stanley Cup. -
The Anaheim speculation is due to Burke trying to get him to Toronto last season & that he might be pushing for the Ducks to sign him now that he's scouting for them.

Not officially until 9:00 EDT tonight

So how long does it take for Stevie to hire Lindy Ruff?

Maybe all of those dollar hot dogs & Miller Lites were making it difficult for Murph to fit in that little space between the benches. McGuire would be a much better fit in that case, so to speak.
