Personally, I would love to see Patty, hell anyone really, bring some speed and energy on Pavs' wing so we don't continue to see Pavs having to enter the offensive zone with no other Wing close to him, try to stick handle around 4 players, lose the puck, & have it come right back out of the zone. Getting soooooo sick of seeing that happen multiple times a game.

And a huge part of the reason for that, and why no other team claimed him on waivers, was the ridiculous contract Columbus signed him to. At the price Kenny signed him for, I think there would be a pretty good chance some team would claim him at least on re-entry waivers seeing as how they would only be on the hook for 50% of his salary. I'm pretty sure there are enough teams out there who need help on the blue line that would take a chance on Commodore on re-entry waivers for $500k.

I think Babs needs to send a message & put the 3rd & 4th liners out on the PP. Maybe they can show the regular 1st & 2nd units how to outwork the PKers.

I would still love to see Patty get some time playing point on the PP. Much more comfortable with him in that spot then Huds from a defensive responsibility standpoint in case something breaks down.

I think Kindl's looked pretty damn good so far this year. Commies' going to find it tough to break into the lineup when he gets healthy if Kindl keeps this up.

Let's hope that if he does turn into a top-six forward, that he's still with the Wings when it happens.

As much as I want to see the Wings move East, if all the NHL is going to do is slide a team into the SE, it really makes more sense to move Nashville or Dallas.

That would be just like the NHL. How do you think Mr. Ilitch & Kenny would feel about letting Steve go to Tampa in retrospect if the Wings end up moving into the same division?

^^^this More like a few months away. Three I believe according to comments I remember seeing. And as far as Happy raising his trade value, 2 games in is just too small of a sample size. If he keeps playing well for a month+, maybe.

Oh subtle sarcasm, why are you lost on so many people? Don't think that a league that would stick Dallas in a division where all the other teams are 2 time zones away would hesitate putting Detroit in a division with teams in Washington DC, Raleigh, Tampa Bay, & Miami. What the NHL needs is a far-reaching, visionary realignment that addresses all of the current issues. What we'll get instead is the Board of Governors just moving one team from the West into Atlanta's old spot in the Southeast. What they should do at minimum, in my opinion, is move Nashville to the SE, Dallas to the Central, Vancouver to the Pacific, & put Winnipeg in the NW. Edit: Before anyone points it out, yes Phoenix is only 1 time zone away from Dallas for part of the season.
