I think even Steve himself would disagree with you on that. Lids will go down as at least the 2nd best defenseman of all time, the absolute best of his generation, & a cornerstone in helping to grow the game from the perspective of European players. Should the HoF waive the waiting period for him? Absolutely they should. Will they though? I highly doubt it myself.

Would that be considered a piss poor comment? At least they didn't go with the brown mustard yellow from their thirds from a few years ago so the color switch is a small upgrade. The jersey is still too busy though with the keyboard on the inside collar & the piping and horns coming off the collar. (or whatever you want to call them)

I don't see Holland doing much of anything with the cap space left due to those very reasons. If something happens on the trade front, I think it will happen closer to the trade deadline next year. And I think if a trade does happen at any point, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Wing's "over ripe" prospects like Mursak would be included. -

This has to be an AHL depth signing. If they expect him to contribute to the big club...needless to say, desperation is a stinky colonge.

That gets a thumbs up from me as well...with Kindl & Commodore on rotation I would think & leave Smith down another year in GR to soak up ice time in all situations.

I'm more interested to see who Nashville & NJ will have to trade off to afford Weber & Parise respectively. Figure both are going to get awarded significant raises.

Yes, I would trust this much more than someone saying "a buddy of mine said" without having specifics on where it's coming from. Without sighting sources, that's as good as me saying that a buddy of mine told me that ex-players are bad mouthing Babs for his penchant for wearing a pink tutu & tiara in the locker room before games.
