Well 1-1. A mistake by Jimmy, just as I say how much he has improved. There was definitely some luck to it, considering the bounce off the boards, but the finish was impressive by Murray. He picked the only spot he could score besides the hole. Yeah, I noticed the same thing. At least put some pressure. Maybe he didn't see it until Murray already was shaping to shoot and Datsyuk was there. But still..

Man.. JIMMMEEYYY!!! Solid save on Nash's shot. Sopcast channel 90707 works pretty well if anyone needs a feed. Hopefully we can turn our positive start to another goal this period.

Man.. this had the feeling of a playoff game. The pace was utterly electric in the first period and it continued to show thereafter. I thought Detroit had the better of the play in the first and Pittsburgh in towards the latter part of the second. We recovered, and Zetterberg massively stepped it up to give us a much needed goal. After that we should have scored at least twice. How Williams didn't score on that one v one after that defensive zone giveaway is beyond me. I guess good goalkeeping by Fleury because Williams did try a small fake but wasn't Fleury didn't bite. He also should have buried that 1 v 1 when Franzen gave him that puck right in front of goal. Fleury held his stick strong though. You could see it on the replay. I've stated the most obvious.. but there were a lot of other things... I will re-watch the game so I can let my emotions go away. Too intense to give analysis the first time I watch it.

Sorry for being very European here... but I come from Serbia and was raised on football. 3 points for a win, 1 point for draw, 0 points for loss. End of discussion. Maybe not exciting, but it's the truth.

Good player, but a ******.

Following this team this season has been something else... from the gut wrenching losses to the last second victories (e.g. Helm vs LA or Zetterberg vs. Nucks) this season has defined for me what it really means to be a fan. I went crazy when I was in Staples, and even two nights ago after Rafalski scored I was screaming at the top of my lungs... so much the neighbor started knocking on my door to check if everything was alright. Nothing like the Red Wings. This team has gone through so much this season, and I could not have put it better than Ken Daniels did in the Zetterberg winner last night.. LGW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am eager to watch tomorrow's match.. and I am glad to see the site finally back up and running after I tried posting when my comp said I shouldn't visit it. Re-watched the game today on NHL Network. Just as sweet. Cheers for getting the problems fixed MODS.

If we make the playoffs I would rather face the San Jose Sharks than the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round. We have played fairly well against the Sharks all season, even with our injuries. I know it would be much sweeter to beat Chicago in the first round, but I would rather like to see this team build up their playoff tempo and take care of them in the Western Conference Finals. If you believe in miracles... I am still just hoping for a playoff spot after everything that has happened this season.

A very important game in a tough environment after a great showing against San Jose. This team has let us down after good matches this season... let's see if some things are starting to slowly change with the complete return of Henrik and now Thomas. I would have to say I have come around in my thinking of Filppula as well. As earlier posts point out, it seems he just makes good solid decisions, which every hockey club needs. I was really glad about the win, especially after the Predators took it to 3-2 due to our previous form when leading by 2. Lidstrom seems to be getting into the grove after that barren spell, and Henrik seems to be finding his feet. And I am glad Jimmy has responded after that 52 save LA game. He has been good since then, but this performance was brilliant in my eyes. LET'S GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to the North pole to kick some penguin ass.
