Bleacher Report reporting Mike Green for Tatar was "close" to being finalized earlier this afternoon. If true, this would cement the worst offseason I can remember for the Wings.

I thought Holland sounded pretty defensive. Furthermore, I think it was easy to decipher that the Legwand trade was just to extend the streak based off his comments. Personally, I'd have liked to roll the dice with Calle Jarnkrok (all things considered/him staying in North America) . Anyone else peeved with the Jurco pronunciation? Kenny talked a lot about this "Jerk-O" kid.

This would be ideal for me. I'd even be up for making the kid line the third line when Jurco comes back and sitting Weiss. At this point, he's almost gone two full seasons without playing a significant amount. I really wonder about his future with the team. From what we've seen with Legwand, I wouldn't mind seeing Weiss bought out this summer. Barring we make the playoffs, the only wildcard would be Cleary. If healthy, I could see him reinserted back in the lineup due to the gritty/veteran presence in the playoffs mentality. I haven't seen any news about his injury recently, however.

I actually really like the deal for both teams. Miller wanted out and I think they received solid players in return and picks to use for a future build. You have to admire Doug Armstrong for really going after it this year. I know we're a bubble team this year and the risks associated with trading picks from this position, but it takes me back to the days Holland used to do the same.

Why wouldn't you sit the team-leader in plus/minus? Not even once.
