Okay, just got here. Well got in just in time to see our first period goals/comeback (had to work late tonight). Awesome timing for me, I must say. Hopefully that will continue. Fighting through the check and then obviously following it up with a perfect pass. Great work. How Holmstrom ended up with an assist and not a goal on #2 is beyond me. Great, great save on him there. I think the NHL should decrease the amount of games in a regular season and have all games end in a winner and loser. Play until somone wins. No back to back games. If you go four ots, you go four ots. That's what is great about hockey, in my opinion. Playoff Overtime. Of course maybe it's just great because it is only happens in the playoffs. Who knows?

Hmm. Personally I think this is just too top-heavy. Z and Pav haven't played as good together since '08. I think spreading them out forces other teams to match up accordingly. I also think have Pav, Z, Filp and Helm as our centers gives us great strength down the center. My take, though.

Let me explain my D Pairings. I moved some bodies around so now on each line there is someone who is playing well and someone who is either not or just returning. Balance is the key. Raf and E have struggled. But E more. E with Lids would perhaps help him learn and gain some much needed confidence.

Typing Filp a million times. Real clever. You're a hero. Any legit thoughts on the lines, though. I really think they are solid, real thoughts or comments?

Two things... Just cause someone has improved from where they were, doesn't mean they don't need MORE improvement. Bulkiness doesn't equal more balance.

It's not about arguing. I didn't ever once say I don't like him, either. I said he is overrated. I will stand by that. I like his defense. I loathe that he gets offensive praise and doesn't really impress out there. Even Babcock said, when asked how excited he was to get Filp back, something to the extent of, "He really won't make that much of a difference scoring wise, so he probably won't be changing too many outcomes." I didn't even say he is playing bad. But is he overrated? Yes. I don't get why everything he does wrong is excused too. Or why you compared him to Dats at one point. Dats has also been struggling this year, don't get me wrong. But that's not what we are discussing. Filp is overrated. Bottomline. He's not a goal scorer and we need goals. He also has a tendency to turn the puck over and fall over a lot. Are we watching the same game? He had a few today in the third. He'd be a great third line center for the Red Wings. That's all. He doesn't produce enough to be a #2 Go To Guy. This isn't really true. He coughs it up with his dumb moves and falls a lot against the boards. He's decent but could have better balance.
