1. I never said Datsyuk has been on fire. 2. I don't know why your comparing him to Datsyuk, probably because your insecure about Filp's play so you have to pull something out of your hat. 3. I didn't say he was bad - he annoys me with his moves and giveaways Why does it bother you so much? B/c you have a man-crush on him (unless you're a girl) and you can't see it objectively? Watch the next game and count how many giveaways he has and how many chances to shoot/score he doesn't connect on. Be objective. I love the Wings as much as anyone but I'm not afraid to call out some of our guys. Filp needs to play better. Forget the injury, these same moves have never worked for him. He doesn't play with Dats line because he wouldn't bring the same chemistry as those guys have - I mean, why is that suddenly an excuse. Maybe if Filps was as good as you'd say he could get it done with any linemates, I mean Cleary is a 20 goal scorer and actually has scored on some of Filp's assists, so let's not through Daniel under the obligatory bus here, okay?

Thanks for helping me out a bit. I'm with you - I'm not saying he is bad, but let's all relax until he starts really producing offensively. Is he good and backchecking? Absolutely, but he's supposed to be more than another grinder. On a side note, Helm is starting to pick up Drapers amazing offensive habits and that worries me. He literally is going down the second generation Draper path and that's a path you don't want to go down. Just like any path on the show lost.

Um, well I don't know what to tell you. I'm not lying. It's my opinion. We can disagree. He really pisses me off with his cutsy stuff that always seems to fail. He needs to take the bull by the horns so to speak and really become a go to guy. Use his speed. Get stronger on his skates, he falls wayyyy too much.

Okay? Do you know who I am? No. And that's why you talk on here. Relax man, it's a freaking message board. You're so tough with your words. We like the same team. I stated an opinion. And I believe it to be true, as Filp rarely does connect on those cutsy moves. He has plenty of quiet games. What this has to do with closets is beyond me....

Actually I watch every game. In Memphis. Through NHL Center Ice. It's time for Filps to grow up, let go of the stupid deke moves he can't pull off, and become a man. He tries to be too cute. "The Wings just got a little less pretty and little more gritty." Look, I know you have a Filps Banner so you're an expert on the matter, but you made that yourself. It means nothing in particular.

Filps is way overrated. You can't even tell he is back from injury in some of these games. But oh yes, he is.

We have the worst powerplay. We really should start declining them. Better yet, we should just go shorthanded, at least we get breakaways on the pk. By the way, what a goal by the Wild. Lidstrom should take notice.....that's how you bank it off the boards!

Hahaha. You're kidding right? We played when of our best games all season. We only gave up 3. Yes 3. Shots in the first period. And the scapegoat thing, well that's becomming a scapegoat. I've come around to Ozzie the last few years, realized I was wrong. But this commenting to the media is for another team, not here in Detroit. Secondly, at what point is it okay to say, we need the points and Howard seems to get them? Ozzie played plenty early on in the season and when Jimmy got his chance, he made good with it (so far at least). Are we supposed to punish him and potentially our chances of making the playoffs because Ozzie has a better resume? As the cliche goes, "What have you done for me lately."

I like how in that dude's article, he gave us the victory. I hope that shows up in the standings... (At some point he will most likely edit that, at which point this will make me look like a noob. I am not. It's truly incorrect at this time.)

And Here. We. Go. Chris Osgood not quite good enough for Wings Chris McCosky / The Detroit News Washington, D.C. -- If coach Mike Babcock was trying to light a fire under Chris Osgood, if he was trying sharpen his focus, stimulate him or in some kind of way challenge him, starting him against the most potent offense in the league would probably do the trick. "Yeah, that's quite a coincidence," Osgood said. "Or maybe not." Osgood, who hadn't started a game in goal for the Red Wings since Dec. 20 and had played just 31 minutes in the last 12 games, gave up three goals on 23 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. Advertisement Not a bad performance, but to Babcock -- not good enough. Babcock said afterward that Jimmy Howard would start on Thursday at Minnesota. "I haven't played in a month," Osgood said. "I think if I had played a little more -- I mean those were good goals -- but I still think I could have stopped them if I was in more of a groove. You take what you can get, I guess." Osgood was told that part of Babcock's reasoning for starting Howard again Thursday was that the team needs points. "I've gotten him a lot of points, you can write that," Osgood said. "I got him to the Stanley Cup Finals the last two years, you can write that, too." Osgood, who has been supportive of Howard, has been frustrated with Babcock riding one goalie for long stretches. "At the start of the year, Howie didn't play for a month and now I haven't played for a month," Osgood said. "To me, that's not a good way of doing things, to let one guy get stagnant. You've got to have both guys going, especially with the amount of games we're going to have." Osgood's point is this: With the schedule being as condensed as it is -- the Wings will have played 21 games from Jan. 1 to the Olympic break and then 15 more in the month of March -- it would behoove the team to have two goalies fresh and ready. "It's frustrating not to play for that length of time," he said. "I would have liked to play prior to (Tuesday's game)." Osgood said he felt no pressure to reclaim his spot as the Wings' No. 1 goalie. Though Howard has played well for the last month or more, Osgood fully expects to be the Wings' goalie down the stretch and in the playoffs. "When I've played, I've played good," he said. "I hadn't played in 12 games. That's not my decision. I can't do anything about that. I don't even think too much about that stuff any more. I practice hard and I play when I play. "Do I want to be sitting out for 12 games? No. That's way too long. But I am not worried. I will be ready for the playoffs." Read more: http://detnews.com/article/20100120/SPORTS...s#ixzz0d8FvImwr
