Nah man, you didn't read the guys response closely enough. If the Wings lost Kronwall and didn't resign Quincey this year we'd be horrible.

We are also bad at that. It's an interesting note to make but I think Chicago gets away with not hitting because they play good, fast puck possession hockey.

Tatar needs to put on weight then. Honestly, I'd trade him while his stock is high. He doesn't have the same intangibles as other small players, Marty St Louis have. Also, JVR? Give me JVR now. I'll give up Smith, Tatar and a 4th rounder.

It does seem to get their energy going and annoy the hell out of other teams. Opposed to softly playing "Hey Hey Hockeytown" haha

I'd honestly put Pulk and Tatar and Smith and Weiss into a package and go after 1 or 2 studs. Pulk couldn't look more lost and less ready for the NHL if he tried. And Smith is a disaster most nights. Maybe trade them for a Reilly Smith and someone?

I don't know if you watch closely, but Zid is playing with Smith to cover FOR Smith...

I think it's time to bring back the kid line. Hide them as our third line. I think I've had enough of the Tatar and Nyquist experiment. They are not reliable in our own zone. They wait way too long to shoot the puck or make a decision. It's one thing to score in October and November, it's entirely different to do it in the spring. They need a spark. Z - Pav - Abs Cole - Helm - Jurco Tatar - Sheahan - Nyquist Glendening - Andersson - Miller

Oh first off, thanks for contributing. Likewise, will definitely miss the Joe. But playing songs like individual goal songs or the theme from Friends isn't good enough haha.

Jurco and Helm both use their speed and bodies. Are good complimentary players. Because who is going to get guys like Tatar the puck if not for them? Go back in the history of the Wings with Scotty. He would have a bruiser on a line. Yzerman and McCarty played together plenty. Plus, if you don't see the importance of Helm yet, you are crazy. I'm assuming you think hockey is purely about who scores. Which would make sense if you don't look at the bigger picture. There are definitely certain formulas that help a team score. Which clearly we aren't doing right now. Helm and Weiss just need to switch and it'd be great. Minus Franzen probably never returning to our lineup. But yea! Jurco is a good player, I think people just do not value yet.

I've never seen a game! What is this forum about? The point isn't about line 1 or line 2, to me. It's that Tatar shouldn't be considered a Top 6 in his first full season. That's ridiculous. He does a ton wrong on the ice. For either good reason (he's a rookie) or bad (he's afraid to get hit). You still haven't and probably won't defend Tatar as a good player on this team deserving of top minutes...

I've been there too. Versus Ottawa, NYR recently. Have you ever been to other arenas? Chicago, Toronto, Carolina, and Nashville are all way louder. More entertaining.

Tatar is on the first line with Pav and Abs. Zetterberg isn't doing well. Ergo why I'd have him playing with Pav. I've said this now three times, you reader you!
