My fiancee didn't know anything about hockey until this last season, when she watched a lot of games with me. She wasn't really intrigued until I took her to the Joe to see a game against the Sharks. The energy and atmosphere at the Joe really drew her in, and she has been really getting into hockey ever since. She was not a sports person at all until she met me, and now we have season tickets for Michigan football together and she just told me the other day that we should go to a couple Wings' games this year...I love her.

If they moved from Detroit, I would feel like they were abandoning the city in a time when the sports teams are one of the only things bringing people downtown. That may irk me a bit...

I've been waiting for this thread! I've been telling my friends how awesome it would be to have his shot from the point on our PP since the beginning of the season. Switching from Williams to him is like switching from a musket to a .300

better the fans than the players.

They definatly have the beginnings of a really good team in Stamkos, St. Louis, Vinny, Hedman. But like everyone on here has been saying, they need more D and goaltending. I hear Thomas will be on the trade block this summer because of Rask, and I'll bet Tampa Bay will be in the running for him. With that and drafting a D-man, they will be good in a couple years.

I think we are going to see a different team out there come round 1; a team that can beat Chicago or Vancouver. Whether or not we can keep up that level of play for more than 1-2 rounds... that is my concern. For now, I'm happy for another playoff birth!

He has to get Sidney to bed early... ANYway, I'm watching this one at a pub with a friend from Philly, so this is a must win in my eyes! GO WINGS!

This would be hilarious to me: Florida and Tampa Bay draft two superstars in the next couple drafts, and watch in about five years as the NHL tries to somehow create and sell a Florida/Tampa Bay winter classic game...

I like the idea of putting Ericsson on the 2nd PP for Williams. He has a cannon that never gets the opportunity to be fired. Yea, I'm waiting for Cleary to step it up, however he seems to be a clutch player, so we'll see where he is in the playoffs.

I've only been to one game this year. When we went to OT, they played O Fortuna from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. It adds a bit of intensity to the moment :-).
