Teams that Should Have Never Changed their Jerseys
AARedWingFan replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Ducks: I thought the old jerseys were a little funny looking, so I welcomed the change to the "Ducks" jerseys. Sharks: I'm not really a fan of any of their jerseys, but I don't like teal... But the old one is definitely better than the one they are using now. Stars: Yea their 3rd is rough. I didn't mind their first jerseys in Dallas. I guess I don't have much opinion either way here... Coyotes: They went from worse to bad, but at least it's an improvement. Kings: Agree with the black and silver - Gretzky era ones. Those looked great. I also like the purple and gold ones, as they look more "kingly," I guess, but I think the black and silver beats that one in sharpness. Blues: They have never really looked bad to me. Flames: I like their old ones better, but their new ones are not bad. Canucks: I didn't like the black and yellow, so I think the new ones are better, but I'm still not a fan. Sabres: I like their current thirds, but the buffa-slug is pretty dumb. Also, the balck, red, and white wasn't bad, but the originals and their current 3rds are definitely the best. They are the only ones that actually have a "saber" on the logo, unless I'm missing something. Penguins: Need to go back to their black with yellow trim. The baby blues need to be gathered and burned. Flyers: I like the originals and current ones. Anything orange. Devils: I like them without the green pants. Black and red is all they need. I mean, they need to look devilish. Panthers: Need to not exist... Hurricanes: Need to go back to Hartford and re-adopt their green jerseys. Capitals: I actually like their current ones the best. The teal with the eagle didn't do anything for me. -
Yea, he would have gotten injured on the Wings....
-
SJ. They are notorious playoff chokers and have shaky goalies. Their fans remind me of Cubs fans, always with "this is the year"...no it isn't
-
I'm not one to crunch numbers, in fear of making a mistake that makes me look absurd, but if the Wings can get Kozlov without giving too much, I think he would be a great addition to the 3rd line, or possibly the 2nd line if he steps it up.

The Wings are only 1 point out, and Calgary has played one more game than us. It is not as desperate of a situationas it seems...yet. I say that after the olympic break the clutch that we've all been waiting for will finally kick in, and we'll steal the 7-8 spot.
-
Agreed. If he keeps up his level of play, the points that he is lacking this year will start to come.
-
Babcock is doing a good job, and there is no reason to let him go. He has proven himself as a coach here in Detroit. The Wings have been to the last game of the finals for two years. He must be doing something right. To explain this year I would say that it is a lack of player motivation combined with injuries. There isn't much the coach can do at the end of a game, down by 1, to get that much needed goal when the players arn't hungry for the win. Babcock needs to stay. I'll start questioning the judgment of our management if we let a coach like him go.

Unfortunate amount of homework tonight. Looks like I'll be listening to Ken Kal. 4-3 tonight for the good guys!
-
The anger from last night fuels an explosion of goals! 5-0 victory for the good guys! That is assuming our players do care about what happened last night.
-
Leave it to Nick to lead by example when this team needs it the most! Keep it up Lids!
-
3-1 win for the good guys on the scoreboard. 10000-3 win in the hit catagory with Kronwall's return!
-
I'm not sure the officiating will be with us during that game, but maybe three guys back will allow us to overcome anything they can throw at us.
-
Eklund is a jackass. e5
-
Kronwall's return will be huge for our defense. I'm looking forward to seeing some bodies flying once again. As to the other injuries returning soon as well...
-
This. I hope he ends up like Miller, and not like Steve Mason in year #2
-
He would be awesome if the money were right, but I doubt that would be the case. Also, I don't see him leaving SJ. Every time rumors about him being moved come up they end up being false.
-
I have consistently been asking why Ericsson is not on our 2nd PP with Kronwall out with that shot of his.
-
That was too much for me....But I'm glad now. Good night all! A very good night.
-
Gah! We need this extra point.
-
MEECH DID SOMETHING RIGHT!!!
-
EAVES!!!!
-
Big 3rd coming up. Lets see if the Wings can finish one.....please?
-
Good goal. Why does it seem that we always get beat by strange goals?
-
Agreed. It will be nice to have him back to replace Meech on the 2nd PP (What is Meech doing there in the first place?), but Franzen will give us the size down low that we have been missing with Homer out as well.
