^This. Last year the officiating put them in early holes, but they were still in every game in the 3rd period, just couldn't reach that last gear we as fans have become accustomed to. Hopefully with a more rested team and a healthy Zetterberg the extra gear will be there when we need it, and hopefully we don't fall behind early bad officiating or not.

I second that, as much as it turns my stomach I am pulling for the Hawks, mainly because they are exposing Vancouver for what they really are, an overrated team with an overrated goalie and no heart. Nashville will be a tough series, as would San Jose, but we control our own destiny and if we keep playing like we did in the first round, no reason we can't beat anyone remaining in the West, especially with a rested lineup and getting Zetterberg back.

Wow, that was closer than I wanted, but good win nonetheless.

My enjoyment of this game will be slightly lessened by the presence of the gruesome twosome (aka Doc and Edzo :puke: ), but only slightly. Here's to a decisive Wings victory, I expect 2 powerplay goals including one by Franzen, a fight involving The Todd, and at least 2 'pi on the ice before the game.

+1 to that, I'd love to see some wallpapers like those featuring other Wings in iconic fashion, i.e. Datsyuk's famous dangle on Turco, Filppula's Bobby Orr goal from the '08 Finals, Kronwall's hit on Havlat, just to name a few.

Good call, he narrated the '08 Stanley Cup video, he definitely has a great voice as a commentator. I'd have to say Dr. Cox as the color commentator, and Pablo Francisco as the play-by-play, but only in character as movie voice-over guy. -

Third year in a row doing the playoff beard, though last year it started out as a "make the playoffs" beard. Last shave was about a week ago, hopefully the last one until June
