Try to get a seat by the visitor bench, maybe you can bet on the game with Turco and regain the money you spend on the ticket

Always hated that guy, I remember Kozlov ramming his head into the glass and yelling and banging on the TV screen. Nothing but bad memories of Adam Foote, good riddance.

^This, I always have fun with the photoshop wars, especially since there are some very creative and talented people on this board. Also, I hope that the Wings do keep Chicago out of the playoffs, that would be the perfect revenge and would really put all of the bandwagon 'Hawkeytown' :puke: fans in their place, "Detroit Sucks", yeah, well we just eliminated your sorry selves before you even got a chance to defend your title, enjoy the next 49 years.

That was frickin hilarious, especially the bit about Ericsson and Kindl at the end, just about sums up the prevailing opinion on LGW about those two.

Now that is Red Wings playoff hockey, love the effort out of everyone today. Please keep playing like this guys.

From the original angle it looked like the puck had some weird spin on it and changed directions when it hit the ice behind Quick, but from the overhead it just looks spooky.

True, but I don't really watch anything but Red Wings games so that's the only time I hear him.

I did a few refreshes and did not find my least favorite Edzo saying, "subtle interference"

Ooh, then maybe we can get preferential treatment on supplemental discipline J/k, I see where you are going with this and I agree. There are too many young, grinding forwards out there for us to keep bringing in and/or resigning aging skill. If I had it my way, aside from Lidstrom no one over the age of 35 should even be considered as a free agent signing, Draper needs to hang them up after this year and make room for the kids from GR (or sign a 2 way deal and play in GR for mentoring purposes), Modano should retire, and we need to lock up Eaves multi-year and bring in one of the aforementioned gritty guys.

Someone wants that roster spot really bad, not much of a fight but good to see the spirit nonetheless.

100 points? Definitely. 50 wins? Possible, only 5 of our last 13 games are road games, no west coast travel or crazy back-to-back games. We will probably still win the division and end up as the 2 seed unless Chicago manages to sweep our remaining games against. Once we are in the playoffs, we cannot play like we have been lately, or like we did in last year's playoffs, otherwise we go golfing in April. Edit: one game in hand over Chicago, plus their remaining schedule is much tougher, mostly on the road, I think we have the division no matter what.

I like all 3 of these lines, Hudler/Datsyuk/Cleary found instant chemistry and played great while we were missing forwards, no reason to believe they would not click again. Z & Flip could benefit from Helm's speed on their line, especially Flip as his wheels are obviously not back to 100%. Franzen's offense is too valuable to sit if he is healthy, but having him play center and forcing him to skate more per shift could be enough to piss him off. That leaves Abdelkader, Draper, Eaves, Miller, and Modano to form a line with. Eaves deserves to stay in the lineup once he is healthy, Miller seems to respond well to being on rotation, and I'm pretty sure that we didn't bring Modano in to ride pine, so perhaps we could go with Eaves-Modano-Draper, with Miller and Abdelkader rotating in for Draper. Edit: Something just occurred to me, Helm/Zetterberg/Filppula would be one heck of a shut-down line come playoff time.

1.3 billion posts to buy the Leafs? OK, 3 down, 1,299,999,997 to go

Time to stop being bi-polar and start being bi-winning!!

I was looking away for a minute, but did I just hear Ken Daniels say "Drew Doughty knocked down by Jiri Hudler"? Is that a first?

Are you forgetting about March '08? 14 goals, team-record 6 GWG, continued his hot streak well into the playoffs before getting a concussion. I would welcome that kind of response to becoming a first-time father.

Just got back from the game, wow. I've never been to a game at Joe Louis, but I imagine there couldn't be many more Wings fans at those games as there were at the game tonight, every section was filled with red. Every time someone tried to start up a Lets Go Lightning chant, it was drowned out by Lets Go Red Wings within 2 bars. Even saw a few octopi on the ice, and props to the guy on the Lightning ice crew who twirled the 'pi over his head on his way off the ice. Only thing that would have made it better for me is if Flip had played, and if Pavs had completed the trick, I've always wanted to throw a hat on the ice.

I'll be there for this one, kinda pissed that Flip won't be playing. Hopefully I can bump into Steve and get a picture with him or something :fingerscrossed:. I expect a high scoring game, at least 7 combined goals, but I fully expect us to come out on top, we seemed to have turned things around since getting most of our forwards back, and having Stuart back will help stabilize the defense.

Is there really a LGW hat, or were you being facetious?

If I understand correctly, the waiver rule only applies if a player plays professionally in a league outside of North America during the season in which they sign. Since Williams began the season not playing at all, then signed a pro tryout with an AHL team, he is not required to pass through waivers before joining an NHL team. Slightly different scenario from Forsberg, who last played professionally in Sweden but not this season, but fundamentally different from Nabakov, who was under contract and played in the KHL this season before being bought out in Russia and returning to the NHL.

Penguins bus in accident in NYC Not really related to the game, but some of the comments below the story make reference to the game and made me laugh.

I live in Sanford, and my family and I will be at the Tampa game next week, section 311. I don't know of any other fans in the area, nor do I know where they gather to watch games, I work evenings but I get to watch every game at work because it's part of my job.
