It's as true today as when I made this 3 years ago

1) Stay out of the box, Babcock put it best when he said our best players are getting worn out running around just trying to throw the puck down the rink. Frankly it's a miracle we have only given up one goal in 16 short-handed situations, especially with Helm out of the lineup. 2) Crash the net, I'm so tired of seeing every Wings possession making 7-8 passes around the perimeter and settling for point shots and bad angle shots with no one screening the goalie or even close enough to the net to have a chance at the rebound. 3) Be the aggressor, we have been spending way too much time reacting.

Canucks and Penguins both one game away from elimination, one can only hope that once his anointed teams are out of the playoffs Bettman will get a horse and live in the mountains and stop bothering people. -

Mursak, Sheahan, Connor, take your pick, any of them could do a better job than Emmerton right now. I would prefer Mursak myself, but I will settle for anyone. Connor and Mursak bring speed and tenacity on the forecheck, and despite a lack of size they are not afraid to throw a bodycheck, and Sheahan brings size and defensive awareness. Emmerton brings nothing unique or necessary to the lineup.

This is one of the reasons I love the playoffs: The game is still 30 minutes away and the GDT is already up to 9 pages. There were some games this season that didn't make it to 9 pages total. Not gonna make a prediction, just want to see our team play like proud veterans for a full 60 minutes. If they do that, I feel confident that they can beat anyone.

Going with the beard again, but I'm gonna do it a little different this year to see if I get better results. I normally have a goatee year-round, and just stop shaving the rest during the playoffs, this time I'm gonna shave clean on Tuesday and not shave again until mid-June

My favorite is definitely the statue of liberty, I hated it when he would do that after making a save, fitting that his screw-up was a turning point for us in that series. Close second would have to be the Larionov goal, I remember my mom getting so pissed at me for letting my little brothers stay up past 1 in the morning to finish watching the game, we all slept through church that morning. Side note, I completely forgot that the Pronger karma injury happened during that run.
