There it is! 100% agree with this. They haven't been playing that great lately. The Devils game wasn't a good win. We just got to see why the Penguins and Flyers have a bunch of wins is because they play in a crap division with the two worst teams in the league.

Yeah, I have seen a lot of articles about Babcock wanting Flip to shoot more and thinking he is going to have a breakout year. It hurt big time to let Hossa go to a division rival. Hossa has way more upside to his game then Flip does.

I think the refs just look at Hudler and think "poor little guy, he's not much of a factor so let's leave him alone". And yes, I also get worked up when they sit Eaves or Miller because even though they don't score much, they hustle and work hard. Hudler is incapable of doing either. And with Flip, he tries too hard to be a clone of Datsyuk. I rarely see Flip complete a deke. He always loses the puck. But at least Flip has potential to be better and we know this because we've seen it.

What frustrates me the most about Hudler is the fact that when he actually does go to the corner, he get's knocked off the puck immediately. The rest of the time he shys away and let's the opposing player get there first to avoid being roughed up. And the fact that he has no NHL skills anymore.

What, shoving TWO players down our throats yearly is effective marketing? All it's doing is making NHL fans (not all) hate Crosby and Ovechkin more. They can have Crosby/Ovechkin commercials all over the Wings game, I still will not watch it due to the fact that they are only promoting Crosby and Ovechkin in the commercials. Correct me if I am wrong, but Pittsburgh and Washington do have more then 1 player right?

We can just agree that Quick was the main man tonight. And the Wings didn't have a great effort ALL AROUND. Teams make adjustments when they can't score. I'm not sure if they made adjustments or if Quick is just a super computer programmed to stop anything that comes his way.

Nahh. Howard is as humble as you can get. So he had a bad game, well the whole team did. And be careful with talking about Osgood. Some posters in here have a sixth sense and immediately log in and bash Osgood.

I guess Howard should have taken a couple shots on net and tried to score, since the offense failed to score. And why is it so freaking hard for the Wings to score on a power play? Yes, Jimmy has rebound control problems. So you work with him. Everybody has a responsibility on the ice. Can't leave your man wide open. Tie up his stick. Goalies are expected to stop the first shot, but the defense needs to be there for the possible rebounds.

No Jimmeh didn't have a great game. But to blame the whole game on him is assinine. When Quick was making all those saves, why didn't the Wings adjust their offensive game plan? Gotta do whatever it takes to score. Quick was on fire but it looked like he saw most of the shots.

They are professionals being paid to play. Shouldn't blow their confidence. You can also blame the offense and defense for blowing Howards confidence.....

Yep, if Howard wouldn't have sucked and posted a shutout, the Wings would have won 0-0 +1

I am hoping that this ass kicking is a wake up call. I would like to see the Wings play with more passion. Would like to see the 2nd line get their s*** together. I would like to see Hudler banned from the Wings organization And my reasoning for hating on Frazen is because he got a sweet long term contract and it's not looking good. It looks like he's happy he got paid and is just relaxing now.

Why is our power play still this bad? Franzen is a bust. I'm sorry. Yes he get's some timely goals but all he does is floats out there. Doesn't put out 100% effort day in and day out. I would have rather kept Hossa.

I am still confused why Hudler is still in the lineup and on the 2nd line. Why is he being rewarded for failure?

That kind of attitude won't fit in with the Red Wings organization. And guess what, Howard is winning.

If we don't score here. I will lose all faith in the Red Wings power play.

I hope the Wings don't plan on playing like this the whole game. This is getting frustrating. Why the hell is Hudler still in the lineup? Why is he getting rewareded for his uselessness by anchoring the 2nd PP unit?

Zetterberg focuses more on shutting down the oppositions top line. As long as we're winning, we don't need to have a 50 goal guy or a 100 point guy. Those guys usually don't play great defense like Z or Pav does.
