Jimmy Howard will miss Tuesday's Game
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Ty was stellar against the Avs and was awful vs the Caps. So what it happens. It's called hockey. Hopefully Ty can bring his A game tonight vs a hungry Jackets team. Go Wings Go! -
What's up with Zetterberg?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Z Winged Dangler's topic in General
Everyone's right he hasn't been the same the last two seasons for sure. I think he's lost a step in terms of his speed. He looks very sluggish at times out there. Still pretty sound defensively. Let's hope he can turn it around at some point. -
Yeah didn't even notice him. However I don't know how Brunnstrom is going to gel with the fourth line at all if for some reason they have him at practice rotating with Z-Dats-Cleary. Makes no sense. Why won't they rotate him with the fourth line guys that way there could be more line chemistry?

Staying out of the box wouldn't hurt. Our pk isn't that bad either guys. Don't know what you all are smoking but please stop. -
Good read. Sounded like Helm had a blast working out and fishing. Sounds like the life to me. Funny hearing about how he had to watch out for bears and deer while biking. lol. But as to Helm, he looks great so far. Hopefully the points will follow. Even if he doesn't put up the numbers his work ethic on the ice is really impressive. He works hard and it seems like every shift he gives a 100%. I love the guy and glad that he's on our team.

"Detroit the hottest option for Zuccarello Aasen"
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to a topic in General
Hahah reading this entire thread was quite humorous. Especially all the old Fab talk. -
Kindl has looked pretty solid at there I'm quite surprised. He's also looked decent on the powerplay too imo.

I know it sucks but that's our problem right now. DEPTH. I like having this problem though. I also agree that Homer should be scratched more giving some of the younger guys a chance. Miller and Emmerton have both looked good. Quite surprised to see Miller scratched last game vs Minnesota. And so much for Eaves being on the top line. I honestly think he could hold his own there but gotta let Babs do what Babs does best.

Mabye Fabs should have played last night. Oh well he get his shots at it. Question is who does get waived or traded when Mursak returns?

Honestly find the Division rankings the same as last year with us coming out on top. Detroit Nashville Chicago St. Louis Columbus Chicago fans around here in Minnesota trying to tell me how last year was a fluke for them and that they are going to finish on top with Nashville 2nd and us third Also funny how all the so called "experts" are saying Chicago is a cup contender. I don't really see it. Yeah ok my/our opinions might be biased but really Chicago? Same story with them as last year too much money invested in too few of players. Thoughts?

Good win boys minus our awful powerplay. Minnesota Saturday should be a good game. Go Wings Go! -

How Do You Feel About The Southeast?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Detroit # 1 Fan's topic in General
Article on this on TSN.CA/NHL right now. I seriously got a headache reading the whole thing. Right in the beginning of the article it says something like every hockey fan thinks they have it figured out. So true. -
How Do You Feel About The Southeast?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Detroit # 1 Fan's topic in General
Blah I hope not. Just switch Nashville to the Southeast. Winnipeg to the Northwest and move Minnesota to the Central. Problem solved. -
The problem with Homer now and last year as well is he can't skate and isn't that effective 5 on 5. Homer is a warrior no doubt about it but our coaching staff knows our strengths. Cleary isn't as good as Homer on tipping pucks and screening goalies but who is or who has ever been as good as Homer? Dino Ciccarelli comes to mind but that's about it.... It's gonna be hard for Homer to crack the lineup this year. I like the speed we have at the current moment. Although our powerplay is pretty awful right now hopefully things can turn around cause we need our powerplay to produce...Homer can help there but I don't see him seeing much ice time besides that...

Agreed. Kindl was good last night minus that blunder on the powerplay. -

Ah yes the Hud and Zetterberg flip. Tbh I couldn't really tell except now it makes sense watching that second goal. lol. Not the worst of ideas on sitting Holmstrom tonight besides the fact our PP is bogus right now... Good thing is or PK is on the opposite side of the spectrum right now which is great.... -
Abby, Helm and Bert line for the win tbh...
