Yeah like mentioned earlier I don't see Stuart, Cleary making it that long. And who knows about Franzen either. Lineup though looks pretty good all things considered looking 6-7 yearls later TBH I'm more concerned with next year and the year after though. Interesting maybe knowing Stevie might be our GM though too

Surely if Tampa doesn't sign Stamkos getting Brad Richards back would be a done deal then. Having said that there's no way Tampa gets both of them signed. Stevie has to get Stamkos signed, I don't see what the problem is. Stamkos IS Tampa's franchise player.

Hudler's name gets mentioned in every thread lol

Everyone signing lately seems to be overpaid. Wiz is going to get around 5 million plus for sure.

Wild Firesale Could Mean Wings Benefit

Big article today in our local newspaper here in Mankato MN on Brent Burns. Basically saying his future is up in the air. OMG if Kenny could somehow get him it would be amazing... -
Is Markov worth $5.75 million a year? I don't think so but good for him and Montreal
-
lol for what exactly?

Trades on the table for the draft?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Majsheppard's topic in General
No thanks to Bouwmeester. Mike Green maybe. As mentioned earlier in the Wild firesale thread yes to Brent Burns but highly doubtful. Gotta think Huds is primary trade bait but his value isn't too good tbh. Gonna take a prospect, maybe someone else and a high pick to get any good d-man. -
I like both guys but obvious this is the right choice/decision. I mean I guess there is a long shot chance we re-sign Salei but I doubt it. As for MacDonald, I like him but he's a third string goalie at best if he gets with a NHL team...

I would love to have Markov as well but he can't stay healthy. So that's a big no imo. I think he was on our radar as mentioned earlier a few years ago but not anymore.

No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

You think it would be obvious Jagr's first choice would be the Pens. Really my first thoughts exactly when I heard Jagr wants to come back and play. Seeing a line of Crosby, Malkin and Jagr would be something as much as I hate Crosby and Malkin. -

I agree with you he's one of the best players EVER. Well maybe not ever but I see your points being made and I can't argue with you well maybe... Scares me though this transition from the KHL to the NHL when playing good over here or vice versa there and then coming here. Honestly liked Hudler before he coped out to the KHL and then came back and obviously his game wasn't up too speed. So in that regard it scares me cause let's face it the speed of the game seems almost to get faster ever year in NHL and Jagr isn't getting any younger or faster. Also the season is 82 games plus playoffs in the NHL where in the KHL it's 56 games if I'm not correct with 8 team playoff. But having said that his numbers don't lie and in his prime one of the most dynamic players on the ice. My main concern then is can he show up the entire season? If so one year deal then but cheap please maybe like Modano's but cheaper not too be stingy -
Wiz is a more realistic option than Bieska cause Bieska's gonna resign in Vancouver.

Yeah so would I but I doubt Fletcher would. If he would it woould be a big time screwing by Holland if you ask me. -

Although Burns gives me a big woody, for some reason I doubt we get him. This pipe dream actually could happen me thinks... -
Weber and Parise headed to arbitration

Wondering if Zach being a Minnesota kid would ever want to play for the Wild. His dad played for the North Stars and Islanders. Don't see him going to Long Island but for Minnesota's case. Maybe there's a maybe down the road. Imagine if WE could somehow get him. Top 6 forward for sure and I think our lines would be insanely great Here's for pipe dreaming -

Unfortunately it sounds like WE or Holland might be interested. I mean if it was cheap then maybe. MAYBE. -

Can't believe Boston won or Vancouver choked their chicken. Vancouver didn't show up this last game. lol. -
I dislike both teams and most of their players however I do like Tim Thomas. Congrats man...

Babcock Interview + Jagr to Detroit Rumor
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to JoeBuddy's topic in General
I think it would be nice for all these player threads on this board to have a poll in each and every one of them. Saying yes or no. Kinda want to see what the majority of the board is thinking. Make it happen mods please... -
Interesting but I really haven't heard much about the guy...
-
Yeah nothing outstanding or even average at best. The more I'm thinking about him I'm on the NO THANKS train...
-
Don't know about Souray. Dunno if his game is up to par with the nhl level considering he was in the AHL all last season with little results. Meaning like 4 goals and 15 assists. Not great. Also he might be a head case as well. Now having said that, wouldn't mind trying him out for a one year deal or something CHEAP too. But I dunno not really an option unless Edmonton buys him out and it might not happen we'll see...
-
Would love to see him back but I don't want him on our team.
