    Hudler's Future

I would rate Franzen above Hudler as well as I think most of the board would agree and Wings fans in general. Really not even comparable at this point. Maybe 3 seasons ago, maybe. Franzen is a way more sound 2-way player than Huds. With all the hype surrounding Hudler rejoining our team it was a letdown but not surprising. Thing that pissed me off the most about Hudler was he ditched out on our team for the KHL and this last season everyone welcomed him with open arms after our injury ridden season before last.

    Hudler's Future

Franzen was playing probably most of these last playoffs with an injury bro, where where you? Also Franzen isn't going anywhere anytime soon unless he retires as well. You know about his contract right? He's signed till like 2020.

Bob Boughner as the new coach?

I wouldn't mind this however I would love to see some big name coach that should probably be head coach somewhere next to Babs and co on our bench as a assistant. Someone anyone really with some history with defensive knowledge.

    Jonathan Ericsson Appreciation Thread

Yeah I don't mind seeing Ericcson walk especially if he's demanding more than 2 million +. Not worth it obviously but then again slim pickings imo for what's out there in the market. Honestly don't know about Smith quite yet and Kindl sure but we need now 2-3 guys on D pending on Nick. Sort of worried now compared to last offseason when everything was fine and dandy...

    Changes in the offseason

No thanks to Scott Hannan, not what our team needs imo. Kenny has tough decisions ahead this summer. Can't wait to see the drama unfold and who we get (if anyone).

Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons

Real classy indeed. Much respect for Brian and best of luck to him and his family. Wishing him all the best and thanks for coming to the Wings and for some unforgettable memories.

Hahah wow really strange play. Canucks looking good...

    (1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (2) San Jose Sharks

No finish work on the breakaway for whoever it was. Damn....

    (1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (2) San Jose Sharks

Yeah Vancouver hasn't looked too good this OT. Early on it was all Sharks...

    (1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (2) San Jose Sharks

Should be interesting now. See if the Sharks have anything left to try and push this series.

Wings vs. Flyers. Sept 22nd in London ON

That's awesome and proper dedication there.

    Re-alignment

I really like this. Puts travel way into perspective. The NHL needs to do this imo.

Who has better future: Blues or Wings?

I disagree with anyone thinking St. Louis is finishing 2nd in our division next season. Only way that happens if us (Detroit)somehow stink it up all year long. Chicago and Nashville will no doubt be just as good as this year if not better. Back to the topic at hand. Both clubs have bright futures. Seeing the Blues makes the playoffs 2 years ago was nice but this year was sort of a mis-step. Like mentioned earlier I think it comes down to an ownership issue where Detroit owns...

    In-depth interview with Ken Holland

yeah sounds like we are going to have the same exact team as last season except one year older and probably not as good. Good interview but nothing new happening. :/ Not surprised.

    Wings sign Ilari Filppula 1yr/$500k

I'm quite surprised by his numbers this last season he never got called up. Best of luck...

Brad McCrimmon will not return for 2011/2012

Keep the changes coming. I like this, time to see McCrimmon go.... Ken is not returning to Dallas would be my guess. It's the Devils or maybe even Minnesota...

Homer needs to be a 4th liner/PP specialist next season..

Yeah I somewhat agree Homer and Bert on the top 2 lines doesn't work. Homer should hang em up and unfortunately we are stuck with Bert for one more year.

Notable Restricted/Unrestricted Free Agents in 2011

Slim pickens indeed. Maybe we don't sign anyone and give some young guys a shot? Off that list I have interest in Richards, Weber, Parise and maybe even Callahan. All pipe dreams mind you....

    Canucks in 6.

    Simple off-season post

Yeah just re-read some stuff. We are stuck agreed for next season. Umm so yeah Emmerton and Mursak will still be nice. This is maybe what we need: Helm, Fip and Abby to start scoring some points. They have huge potential to score more than what they show/done already. Also maybe a roster change isn't in order maybe since our defense was GODAWFUL all season get a new defensive coach. However, Stuart is getting older and I think you can start to see it a bit especially during the regular season where I think sometimes he takes a game or 2 off. I don't know. Get rid of Salei for sure, no Modano back, have Drapes and Ozzie retire and I'm happy. Looking forward more now than ever to the future of this team and some younger guys stepping in. New blood mixed with old blood has always been a postive thing with this organization imo....

    Jaromir Jagr

Please no Jagr on the Wings. Let the Pens have him back ffs.

    Simple off-season post

Not that I don't like this but it's basically the same team who got bounced 2 years in a row by the Sharks. No thanks. Us keeping the same team = same results in the playoffs, no Cup. We need one younger hungrier gritty defenseman and the same for (maybe) a top six forward. I like Mursak and he's ready imo but is Emmerton really ready yet probably not. I like Eaves I really do but I think maybe Holland can find someone a bit better I don't know. Lots of questions for next season seemingly having the same roster. If we have the same team anyone honestly think we can go deep next year in the playoffs. I don't see it happening....

    2012 Winter Classic, Jan 2.

Rangers vs Flyers for next year's winter classic. Boo

Are we Cheering for Tampa Bay now?

In all honesty can't cheer on anyone except the Wings. Since the Wings are out, just watching hockey and not really caring who wins. Would laugh if Tampa somehow won it all though....

Thanks For the Great Season, Wings!

    All for not.
