    Saw this on twitter today posted by the Detroit Red Wings and no thread. Wings have signed D Mattias Backman of Swedish Elite League to 3-year contract. He was drafted by DET in the 5th round 2011 NHL Entry Draft I don't know anything about this kid. Thoughts?

    I agree but something is working for us. So no complaints. Also my beef is Franzen and Hossa are 2 different players. Not even comparable unless you want to pin point scoring numbers. Both drafted differently, grew up in different systems with different expectations. Sh** Franzen was a third liner who exceeded expectations for us.
