Fedorov like Dats was/is an exception to the rule. Still wear my Fedorov jersey time to time as he was my favorite Wing when I was kid. Russian players get a lot of crap always have. There are some exceptions though but in general I prefer North American players. p.s. Add Vladimir Konstantinov and Malkin as not being lazy players.

Nash deal is going to be drawn out forever. Having said that Ryan is a better option than Nash for us in all ways, shapes and forms. Like people have said it's going to come down to what package size with the least amount of assets it will take for us to land either one of them. And without selling the farm too will be tricky. Without a doubt Pittsburgh, NYR and Philly will likely be wanting to trade too. Who is going to offer for Nash and Ryan the best packaged deal? Hmmmmm I don't know what assets Pittsburgh, the Rags and Philly have to offer. Regardless trades for Nash and Ryan IF they do happen might not happen until Semin and Doan are signed.

I've never heard the Flames were shopping Bouwmeester. Although they've had inquiries about him. 2 years left on Bouwmeester's cap of 6.7 (i like to round up) isn't bad per say. I mean if the price was right is the question. Cause Franzen for Bouwmeester isn't reasonable considering what Bouwmeester hasn't done. I don't know I'm not a huge fan of Bouwmeester there might be better options maybe maybe not.

I would guess the Penguins are interested in Semin. But as mentioned earlier they have like 6 players to re-sign next summer including Malkin. My guess is that Penguins can't really offer a long contract to Semin. Also thinking since Semin hasn't been nagged by a KHL team yet my guess is Semin is looking for a lengthy contract in the NHL. Surely the Devils can't really offer anything lengthy to Semin can they? Really surprised Semin hasn't signed somewhere yet...
