You really want Suter on our team? Don't get me wrong I think he's an excellent player and all but does he really bring anything new to our team? Vs the Sharks for example? I don't really see him helping us that much yes maybe in the off season if we lose Lids. Parise on the other hand Vs say the Sharks gives us a bonafide top 6 forward that produces. But I do agree with you too much cost involved for either of them and we really don't know if either player will be available this offseason. Rumor is Poile and Suter's agent have been meeting a lot lately. Also on Parise don't even know if we would be available, I think it all depends if the Devils are buyers or sellers or neither at the trade deadline.

I remember. Shanny might have been the best thing ever for the Wings then. Hartford was really bad that year and Shanny obviously wasn't too happy to be there after the trade for Pronger. lol. Totally forgot about that. Really though Shanny, brought new life to our whole team. Proabably one of the best trades ever for us in our history. I agree with our current team we need some sort of trade like that. Just the problem is it's too early to tell who's available yet.

Bright side last night was Smith. Like the kid hopefully he becomes a regular soon. With his lack of experience he looked better than both Big E and Kindl imo. Like someone else said get this kid in there. I don't think he's gonna win us any more games that we are already winning lol but his hockey sense in being physical and his offensive attack are great. It would be nice to see Big E do something eventually for our team along with Hudler. Interesting to see Abby get some minutes on the top line last night he didn't look out of place. Here's hoping for 4 points out of this road trip.

Nothing can be done they are bigger, faster and finish when it comes to scoring. Pound for pound they are the better team right now and have been for awhile. They will more than likely make it to the Conference Finals again. Sad to say it but it's true. And if we make the playoffs yeah playoffs lol we have no chance against them unless some sort of acquistion's are made before the trade deadline. The team we have now imo is worst than the one's the last 2 seasons and we all know how far we went.

Not scoring on the 5 minute powerplay has killed us minus losing Kronners. Something doesn't quite look right tonight with us. Pavs is still looking miserable out there no flow yet to his game whatsoever. Oh well, at least the score is close I guess theres a chance but hell our powerplay is TERRIBLE still. WTF.

Ok but then why no suspension then on this? Cause it was clear as day to me Lucic wasn't really trying to play the puck. Just a penalty which it was so no worries. So the call just being a 2 minute penalty whatever the call was is/was just am I right? Or according to the leage? Goalies come out they are kind of fair game or should be. Rule book says otherwise ok this is surely a case that's gonna turn heads. Surely also the league will address this at some point. If Howard got run over like that yes I would be pissed off to hell but what are you going to do? Since the league didn't send a message to Lucic on this besides that minor penalty who knows what other moron(s) are going to do the same thing. And yes this will happen again until the league will address it....

It's funny cause no one on Buffalo is going to take on Lucic and if they did I'm pretty sure Lucic would wipe the floor with them. Regardless blah stuff like this happens. Glad to see Miller wasn't injured but if goalies leave the crease like that to play the puck imo they should be fair game.

I'd keep him if the price was right. However if family being in Cali. Definitely seeing the Kings or Ducks maybe throwing some more cash his way. Oh well, thing with Stewy is that too many times these last few seasons it seems he takes night's off. :/ Having said that he's looked pretty good these last few games especially last night. So I might have to bite my tongue. I think he's replaceable though in the end and either way no worries it will all pan itself out...

Funny how all the naysayers here were saying that we need a better goalie this and that. Jimmy's preseason wasn't good but he's completely erased that and looks stellar. Not that preaseason matters at all in stats for goalies. IMO he's been our best player then Lids (no surprise). Also I think Jimmy is improving which is never a bad thing, I think he's only going to get better.

No reason why we shouldn't win this game. Edmonton just played a tough game last night in Boston. They will be hungry yes so it should be a battle.

Next two games will be a good test for us and of course the west coast trip as well. Looking forward to seeing what our boyz can do. Go Wings Go!
