Bah, fan loyalty is a crock of s*** anyways. Most of the players people hate, they deep down hate because that player is extremely talented and as a result as stuck it to your favorite team on more than one occasion. This is doubly true for agitators... fans always love their local agitators or goons but hate other teams, its just one of those stupid things about being a fan. This is just silly blind fanboy rage. And amazingly enough, it disappears about 20 seconds after that player joins your team. I know a number of people here despise Jarome Iginla for various reasons, but you bet your ass if he became a Wing, he would be a fan favorite within days. What would be humourous though, is to see what would happen if Crosby became a Wing....

Doesn't make sense to pick up ( way overpriced ) and doesn't make sense from Sutter perspective, he isnt a Canadian born player for one, isn't physical for another. The chief difference between women's and men's ice hockey is that body checking is not allowed in women's ice hockey. After the 1990 Women's World Championship, body checking was eliminated because female players in many countries do not have the size and mass seen in North American players. In current IIHF women's competition, body checking is either a minor or major penalty, decided at the referee's discretion. .... apparently our women are too big.

Truth of the matter is though, if you had a mic in front of you, how many hours do you think you could go without saying something stupid, inappropriate or down right obscene? I would love to say that Cherry doesn't speak for Canada, but sadly, too much of our population still listen to him. For the most part, Cherry was a blowheart whose stupidity was always offset by Ron MacLean's brilliance and political tact. In recent years though, Cherry has become a SENILE blowheart who has trouble forming a cohesive sentence and Ron MacLean's job now consists of keeping him from drooling on himself. More or less since his wife died, Don has gone on a one way trip to crazyland. If you can't tell, this particular Canadian despises Don Cherry. However, if you insult Ron MacLean I will punch you in the face! Ron MacLean is the pinnacle of what sports announcers should strive to be and thats the biggest downside to CTV covering the Olympics in place of CBC.

By current NHL prices, that is actually a pretty good bargain! He is developing well and could easily be a 70 point man. Hm and Glencross were great pickups. Frankly, Canada was Russia's downfall. They game to play and absolutely shocked the Russians. That game was won in the first 10 minutes. Nabby didn't help, and the fact he didn't get pulled earlier ( especially between periods ), speaks ill towards the coaches.
