while i do agree w/ this statement, i do wish yzerman nothing but the best. Im sure his heart is in detroit and he probably didnt WANT to leave but its something he wanted to do and he wont be the big dog in detroit for quite a few years... its nice that he went to an eastern conference team, it gives a few of us a reason to root for them, and in case they do get to the finals, at least it will be in part because of one of our own, i just hope they lose to the wings

i dont see how any NHL player can be fat, aside from maybe a goalie seriously though, all that skating and moving, shooting, coordination, balance, stamina, etc. I would think you'd have to be pretty in shape to be any good at hockey, let alone the NHL

that was quite the rant I know what you're saying though. Most arenas have a generic goal song, whereas the wings seemingly put an ipod on shuffle and what comes up after the horn is what comes up

Mursak Helm Draper (if he stays, and his play has been quite impressive this season i must say) nothing but breakaways -
flip looks good, and he has for the last 2 months or so. he's got at least 1 point in the majority of his games since december i think, or at least thats what it seems like.

The one great thing about the NHL... the players names. Foreign names are often pretty much awesome, probably because they are foreign to us For example, i think Sven (albiet a first name, whereas im going w/ last names in my post) is a pretty awesome name, but thats not a typical North American name. That said, a few names off of the top of my head that i think are cool names Clutterbuck Zetterberg Zidlicky Cheechoo Bouwmeester Filppula Byfuglien

correct. nabby didnt want to play for the islanders, he wanted to play for detroit. Period. however, you have to understand that the islanders cant really come out and say "yeah, we know he wanted to go to detroit but we picked him up. Jokes on him."
