I knew someone would come out and throw stats at me. LOL. I don't care about stats, I care about what I see. Lidstrom looks slower and less than he used to be. Not like that's terrible, the guy is getting older after all.

I've seen Lidstrom take more penalties this year than usual, get burned by forwards more than ever. I think he knows himself better than anyone and he'll retire when he knows he's not up for it anymore. I also don't think the Wings will be as bad off as everyone thinks when he goes. I grew up watching the dead things play in the snorris division, as long as they don't go back to that, we're fine. Though it will be hard as a fan to adjust to the Wings style and defense without Lidstrom.

I don't understand the Hossa hate. Sure he's a cup chaser, but so are loads of other players. He did under perform in the playoffs last year, but we all seem to forget he did directly cause a lot of great plays with his speed, size and puck handling ability. He didn't score for us, but he wasn't a ghost. I don't wish bad on the guy, I just don't want to see the hawks go further than us.

Actually... WE created the over paid player problem. Millions upon millions to play a game for crying out loud, No player of any sport should get more than 50k a year. No wonder kids today have no reason to pursue education.

Wings win the cup, but I'd settle for WCF. Pens don't make the ECF.... Neither do caps. If the Wings don't make the SCF, I'd give near anything for Yotes vs Thrashers SCF. LOL That's about it other than no Red Wings get injured.

Howdy, first post here but a lifelong Wings fan. It was a funny slip up, and that's the extent of it. I don't understand why everyone responds to crosby posts if they hate the guy so much? Personally, I don't hate crosby, but I hate what the NHL/bettman has made him into. Everyone here would've blew it in their underoos if we would have drafted crosby. I digress, having lived in a few different NHL team cities (There's only 1 Hockey Town), Ken and Mick are the best. Anyways, Go Wings!
