Horrible news. Before the Wings got really good in the mid-90's, that was my dad and I's favorite player. He liked him because he said that he made the Wings worth watching back in the 80's.

Despite LA not landing Kovy, they still are the team in the West that worries me the most. I predict that our record against them will be the worst out of all the teams we play next season.

I highly doubt that the Palace would ever become the Wing's permanent home. In every report that even mentions them moving there always states that it would only be done while a new arena is being built.

I'm sorry if this is old news to some of you, but this is not something I normally pay attention to. I was very surprised today when I looked at the 2009-20110 NHL Attendance listing I actually find it surprising that the Wings are still #3 considering how hard our area has been hit economically over the last few years. It is very encouraging to see how supportive our fans can be. I thought for sure that we had dropped out of the top 5 during these hard times, but that is not the case. I am also surprised to see that Pittsburgh is ranked #18. I thought that they would definitely be higher than that. Thoughts?

It's really hard for me to root for Chicago because of how arrogant their team is....but, I'm going to root for them over the Sharks. On the East, I'm pulling for the Habs. I think the Habs deserve the cup more than any other team this year because of what they were able to pull off this post-season.

Miller's wife (my friend's sister) is from Livonia. I would imagine that she wants to be close to her family here. Miller is definitely going to push to stay with the Wings.

I'm actually disappointed, I was really looking forward to a new arena or a completely revamped Joe. Hopefully Mr. Illitch is wrong.
