I've never used Spanish or German outside the classroom (not that I went past the first level of either), but I did use French (of which I got through all 4 levels my school offered) when I visited Montreal. So that was pretty cool. Except apparently the Montrealans thought I was mangling their language, because as soon as I tried, they'd switch to English for me. The person below me has been mistaken for being a different nationality than what they actually are.

Feeling good about this one. After each loss in the slump, they were like "Oh, we just need to get more breaks, it's bad luck, blah blah blah." After the loss Tuesday, they were like, "Damn, we sucked." So I'm expecting a hell of an effort tonight.

No. I do occasionally read the personals for their entertainment value, however. The person below me finds the oft-used business phrase "massage the data" to be somewhat creepy.

I would expect Conk to get one of the starts during this road trip. His last two outings were so dismal that it might be better to put him back in for a road game-- the expectations and pressure from the crowd aren't so weighty. Should be easier for him to rebuild some confidence that way.

Prefer to save up, unless it's for something like a house or a college degree, for which saving the full amount is nearly impossible at my income level. Turkey, ham, or other for Thanksgiving dinner?

The Halloween and Christmas ones, for sure. The others kind of leave me cold. The person below me has particular Christmas specials they insist on watching every year.

Probably not. Even when I start the evening with good intentions of getting to bed early, I'm rarely in bed before 11. The person below me still plays on the swings on occasion.

Gonna have to go with gold here. The value of frankincense and myrrh have kind of depreciated over time. (Unless it's a Christmas pageant of small children and a kid says they brought gifts of gold, Frankenstein, and myrrh. Then it's still valuable.) Antibacterial soap or regular soap?

I transfer it myself. I don't get to move money to savings with every paycheck so if it were automatic I would sometimes have to put some back. Better superpower: flying, invisibility, or super strength?
