Wear a watch. Legos or Lincoln Logs?
-
Real life. Email or phone?
-
No, I generally don't want to smell that manly. The person below me slept in this morning.
-
I feel it in my whole body, so I guess that includes my elbows. The person below me has at some point been ashamed of the company they work for.
-
Light saber, because it makes that awesome noise. VOOM. VOOM. Han Solo or Indiana Jones?
-
I've never tried them, but they sound tasty. The person below me has an unusual pet.

Work it off the hard way. Liposuction is a nasty, dangerous thing. Also money spent on lipo would be less money I could spend on hockey tickets. Exercise bike or elliptical?

A headline writer at CBC was evidently feeling sarcastic today: Flyers, Blackhawks to try defence in Game 2

No, I prefer the bath/shower option. The person below me did yard work at some point this weekend. (Edited because I didn't refresh the thread and thusly answered an old prompt!)

This gave me a literal LOL moment. I am another one who doesn't miss Thorne and Clement at all. They worshipped at the altar of Roy the way today's announcers line up to grovel before Crosby and/or Ovechkin. Possibly even moreso, since Roy wasn't being marketed as the face of the NHL. (Admittedly, Clement did all right as an in-studio analyst the first season on NBC.) I thought they sounded like they were going to cry during game 7 against the Avs in 2002.

Pasha is a descendant of Rasputin.

Closets, as I don't have a garage. Sandals or closed shoes?
-
X-Files. Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck?
-
Oh yes. I love Whose Line! The person below me has a lot of books on their shelves.
-
Squat thrusts. I'm a little too, er, well-endowed for jumping jacks to be comfortable. Broccoli or carrots?
-
Very quiet and somewhat asocial. Hamster or Guinea Pig?
-
False. I am planning on having an awesome weekend. The person below me has a good luck charm of some kind.
-
Guess why? Chicken thigh.

Yes, like right now I should be getting ready for bed instead of still squeeing that the Penguins lost. The person below me finds it a little disconcerting that Lidstrom's son's name is Kevin. (That is so NOT a Swedish name!)

I think keeping Ozzie as the backup will be a big part of keeping Howard from going down the Steve Mason road of fail. Mason had no one to turn to when things got rough. If Howard has Ozzie as a mentor for another year, a lot of unpleasantness could be avoided.

I always thought Lebda looked kind of like a tall Hobbit, personally. But I wouldn't put Frodo on the blueline, either. Sam, maybe, but not Frodo.
-
Very much so. I don't have kids, don't plan on having kids, and I have, um, complicated issues with my mother. It's a pretty awkward day for me most years. The person below me is having a lazy Sunday.

Oddly, I thought Game 5 was one of Stuart's best. And he did it with a sprained MCL? Damn.

I'm not sure I can actually root for anyone else at this point. I'm kind of pulling for the Habs, not just because of "anyone but Pittsburgh," but because I've got a friendly acquaintance on another board who's a Habs fan, and we've been pulling for each other's teams even though we wouldn't be if we hadn't scraped up this hockey-based acquaintanceship. Also because I've really admired Jaroslav Halak's play so far. If the Canadiens fall by the wayside, I'll probably just hope for good hockey that I can watch and store up to keep the "sports" part of my brain occupied until fall. Baseball does nothing for me. Football is okay, and it sates that need to a small extent, but it's just not quite what I need. It's like a tasty but unfilling appetizer with hockey as the main course! Now that I've made myself sound even more pathetically geeky than normal, I'll return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Definitely Howard. I was so, so, SO wrong about him! I'm really happy with this young group of grinders, too. Eaves, Helm, and Miller proved to be something exciting. They all had strong seasons. Abdelkader is a total energy guy, and I really hope we see him full time next year. And... Bertuzzi. I was expecting him to be kind of useless like he was in his first go-round with Detroit, but there were more than a few games through December and January where he provided pretty much all the offense. Since they were struggling so hard to just stay in the playoff picture at that point, he was a big part of the reason they were able to climb back in after the injured guys started to recover. No, he's not what he was in his prime, but he filled an important role and I give him a lot of credit for being able to swallow his pride enough to learn how to play a crash the net, Holmstrom-esque game instead of trying desperately to be the sniper he was ten years ago.
