I agree 100%. I hate the way kronwall gets run after every single hit. It just seemed there that Abdelkader was doing exactly that; retaliating after a clean hit. I don't like it no matter who does it.

It's not about the number of points that Datsyuk will have at the end of his career or Stanley Cups or individual awards. He's simply one of the best and most talented players that has ever played this game. That's indisputable. He deserves to be recognised and honoured for that by being elected into the HoF. Datsyuk most likely won't come close to 1394 career points, and definitely won't reach 668 goals but he is ten times the player Robitaille was.

He got it because of his stellar defensive play. I believe he was credited with two takeaways. Other than that he was his usual self; making smart passes, smooth stick-handling, smart play, etc. The game was a total snooze-fest though. So even though Pavel was great compared to the mortals that played on both teams, on his scale he was a 5 out of 10.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this earlier in the thread but... the addition of a 7th Canadian team will screw up CBC's annual Hockey Day In Canada. I'm thinking this upcoming season Winnipeg won't get to participate because the schedule has been made already but the following season CBC will have to pick one team to leave out.
