yeah, it's the old "but he's leading the league in wins" routine

that's not a random sample size, it's from the time the wings started to play like s*** prior to that, in the first 23 games of the season: regulation: 14 wins, 4 losses OT: 3 wins, 1 loss SO: 0 wins, 1 loss these statistics are not random. the wings played great hockey in october and november and since then they have been rather mediocre. some people just can't see it or won't accept it.

you want some more depressing stats? in the last 51 games: regulation: 17 wins, 18 losses OT: 5 wins, 4 losses SO: 4 wins, 3 losses how about them wings?

that's what i was thinking. usually goalies come up with big games right after horrible ones. also, doesn't it almost always seem like the opposite of what you'd expect to happen, happens?

it was a good call. on the replay you can clearly see bertuzzi take his hand off his stick and deflect the puck with it (his left hand). it looked totally intentional and bert himself didn't argue the call afterwards. he knew.

those were the only few good minutes of the game. the wings were AWFUL for the majority of the night. they deserved ZERO points tonight.

i agree about his rebound control, hence the nickname "the rebound"; however, this loss tonight wasn't howard's fault at all. would everyone be freaking out this much if this loss came off a 5 game winning streak?

i'd like to see ilitch storm into the locker room and unleash a verbal s***-storm on everyone. if only ilitch was more like "the boss"
