isn't rafalski just awesome?
-
exactly. no team has ever won 82 games in a season. when the wings are playing a good game and are winning we ask ourselves: "how do these guys ever lose a game?" well... this is how it happens. even if they win 60 games this year they will still lose 22. this game was one of those 22.

welcome back drapes!
-
the fact that you call me an idiot without knowing me at all says a lot about you. so, i guess my only reply to you is...
-
i will agree to this cheers!

i don't know about that. i mean, i watched him play quite a few times and he is pretty good, but no way is he better than lidstrom.

counting fingers? that's not the same as counting years let me try to explain my views on this. when a baby is born it is 0 years old and after one whole year of life it is now one year old. if that baby was born on january 1st, 1990, for example, then that baby will turn 10 years old (and have lived a decade) on january 1st, 2000. therefore that child will now be beginning it's second decade of life in the year 2000. another thing... i don't like the whole argument of there is no year zero. there is a year zero and it was back when the earth was formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago. of course, it is impossible to know the exact time when this happened but regardless of that you cannot start counting from 1. just another point to add to this. you don't count your first finger as 0 and you also don't count your first year as 0 but you have to start from 0. you cannot start counting from 1.

so if you were born in 1980 you were born in the '70s??? GTFO

in the '2000s' we had 9 seasons. these are the records of the two teams in question (since the 2000-2001 season): new jersey: 418 wins - 226 losses - 43 ties - 51OTL - 930 points - 6 division titles - 1/2 in SCF detroit: 453 wins - 179 losses - 40 ties - 66OTL - 1012 points (every season with at least 100 points) - 8(straight) division titles - 2/3 in SCF so... i'd say it's pretty clear which team is the team of the decade here

haha the todd is awesome

maybe the crowd can be heard because of the mics on the glass? idk

not to be insensitive, but human beings do much worse things to each other on this planet every minute of every day. it doesn't surprise me at all that there are people out there who would do something like this.
-
yea, they've been on fire lately. butt-fugly-en had 4 points today.
-
yea, i know what you mean about the schedule being somewhat favourable so far. if they were able to keep up this pace they would get 58/59 wins and 125 points. this isn't impossible but it is unlikely. however, when the season ends, realistically speaking they should still end up in 1st place in the west (at least). my reasoning for this is that if they are the best and deepest team in the league (which most of us think at this point to be true), they will find a way to get the most points. idk, maybe i am expecting too much from them, but from what i've seen so far, the wings are the best.

why shoot so low? the wings are the best team in the nhl, period
-
i agree. draper on third/fourth line brings more to the team and would be more effective than hudler on third/fourth line.
-
good job as always! +1

i watched most of it. it's kinda hard to stay interested in an oilers game. if it wasn't in hd i would not have watched. you're right about the hitting though; that was nice to watch. peckham was a beast. on a side note... this was the only game tonight and it would've been nice if the nhl scheduled the vancouver colorado game tonight and had this game yesterday. oh well...

these were pretty funny to read. i know, hindsight. but nonetheless, it is interesting to see what some people thought of datsyuk back then.

i wouldn't eat anything with the word 'turd' in it all jokes aside, happy thanksgiving!

god i wish this was rafalski's last season with the wings. the negatives he brings outweigh the positives.
-
i guess it's impressive that they've won 7 in a row, but... they have 27 pts in 21 games played with four charity points. not that impressive if you ask me.
-
every time they show tom renney he has a look on his face like he ate something rotten

ok, i see your point too and like i said before under the current rules it should definitely not have counted. but let me ask you this; suppose the play happened exactly the way it did only the ref chose not to blow the whistle and therefore calls it a goal on the ice. do you think that there would be a controversy over it? that is to say, would you have a problem with the ref for not blowing the whistle in that particular situation? to me it just seemed like a good hockey play
