Going after Gordie and Vladdy is totally uncalled for. You're supposed to make fun of the current Wings when you do these eulogies. I like how oblivious these two morons are. They make fun of the fact that we didn't have any 30-goal scorers and that we 'only' had 4 guys with 20+ goals. Meanwhile, the Blues had two guys with 20+ goals, their leader being Backes with 24.

They'll probably get more for Schneider in a trade because he's younger and because of Luongo's contract. Also, Luongo has a NTC and Schneider doesn't want to be a back-up any more so they will have to move one of them.

I'd trade him for Mike Green.

No. I just don't understand how people can say such things after all the success Holland has brought to this team. And let's say he does get fired. Who replaces him? Also, people at various times during the season wanted Babcock fired. Who would replace him? The GM and coaches can only do so much. The majority of the blame for this season should go to the players because after all, it's up to the players to play the game.

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run
atodaso replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
Wow! 46-0 Holland. That is just BS. I personally didn't vote because the poll only had two options, neither one correct. How is it then that not one person here thinks out of the two guys, Babcock was more to blame? What was Holland supposed to do? The market was what it was and it was clear that you had to overpay in order to get certain guys. Holland already overpaid once by trading our first round pick for Q but to me that wasn't that bad of a move. Our D is definitely better with Q in the lineup over Kindl. -
To me this look says: "I'm not going out like this. This is BS."

Reading some of the comments from last night... Such a joke how so many people want Holland fired. I wonder if some of you guys still feel that way after you've had a chance to cool off. Do you feel any shame for saying such ridiculous things?

Ericsson was actually not that bad. He was very good on the PK and at times outplayed Q and Stuart 5-on-5. Stuart is a veteran and while I agree that he was terrible (and I really didn't expect anything better from him), he is still a highly paid, experienced d-man so there is no chance he gets benched. Holland traded our first round pick for Quincey. And as much as some people here rag on him, he's still a better option than Smith right now. To me the problem was with our stale offence. Smith will hopefully get his chance next season. Stuart will be gone for sure. Come on guys, get real. No team in the league would've benched any of our top 6 d-men in favour of a rookie d-man. It doesn't matter how much potential he has. This was about winning now. And our best chance was with the guys we had. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough.

My point was that swapping Smith for Kindl would not have made any difference because Kindl didn't play. Which defenceman would you have taken out to put Smith in? Stuart? Kronwall? Lids? Quincey? White? Ericsson?
-
Like he would've made any difference. Kindl didn't play a second in the playoffs so I'm not sure why you're bringing him into this.
-
Why does someone have to pay you to do this?
-
You mean his leg?
-
Babcock should've put Dats and Z together as soon as he realised that we had no offence (which was game 1).

What planet are you from?

It's been that way all season. Why start something new now?

Haha, I was about to say that. Look at all those "stars."
