From Dan Boyle: FFS, this has to be one of the most hypocritical things I have ever read.
-
Seriously, go here people.
-
I will let you consider as to why one of those players is ready to go and the other isn't
-
That's great news. I am not worried about Bert, he has quite a bit of time to get back to playing shape and clear his head. We all knew Clears is an animal and would be ready to go here soon if he needed to be. Shall be ready for #11 to come back and have another solid season for us.
-
And I know certain hockey players are very tough and have probably played through certain concussions regardless. Lilja's took over a year from the Weber incident and Austin Collie for the Colts had basically 3 concussions and just might come back next year. There is just no telling what effect it will really have.
-
The same ones that plan the parade route for the Leafs annually?? I would be shocked if he was done. I just guess certain players handle these things differently and no concussion is the same. We shall wait and see.

Which conference would you rather have the Wings in?

I somehow forgot to take into account the additional games that we would play against Boston, Toronto, and Montreal which would just add to the excitement of the season. I am all for more matchups against the historical franchises of the NHL and this move would do that. -
I have extreme, wait for it, LOYALTY toward Kenny. The guy is put on a pedestal, and rightfully so. I wouldn't want another guy in the spot and like Doc said, do not expect Stevie to just up and come back if the spot opens up. Also, I wouldn't worry that things will go to s*** if and when Kenny steps down. The Detroit Red Wings will not employ the next GM as someone who can't do the job the absolutely right way. I would love Stevie to be the guy but we need to keep perspective here.

This is basically how I see it. Had a ton of respect for Pavelski BEFORE our series with them. That dropped considerably watching that clown act the way he did when anyone had a stick by his skates.
-
Trade him for Clowe then maybe I do really like Clowe's heart and game an awful lot so if Mule could figure that out, I'd be quite pleased. A move we have needed is toward youth next year and that's with the emergence Muskrat (Mursak). I saw a ton of speed, grit, and even a snipe at times. I like his game a lot and will be a great 4th line addition. Mursak-Helm-Eaves? I mean, yes, that's a damn good 4th line assuming Helmer doesn't move up to the 3rd. The addition in FA I want is Kevin Bieksa. Brings all things to the table that this team needs back on the blue line and his quote about diving that came out recently even hammered that fact home more.

Great! And to think I forgot he was even in the league anymore

I'll say West because it's different and competitive. We would be in the Finals damn near yearly and most likely would sleep more? Who needs that??? Ok, yeah I changed to the East.... -
Wow Ericsson. And GMR, you are honestly not that far off. This is hilarious to see him wanting more or maybe just doesn't want to stay. Probably reads LGW forums daily. I'd leave for the Winnipanta Jetshers too. Salei and E gone frees up some decent space and makes it obvious for us to get that seemingly elusive tough defenseman we have needed. Bieksa would be a stellar move .
-
Gooooo.....either team. Just beat them clowndicks from the West whomever you play.
-
Guessing he was sorry we can't trade these guys away??? Still not really finding it either, but at least it was on 97.1
-
right! People are bitter, eh?
-
Sickening. I'd party with those dudes at the 26 second mark for sure

Has nothing to do with Bettman as Canada has their very own outdoor game and they won't navigate outside of that. I have no problem with it being this way as Canada seems to sort of shield themselves off from this kind of thing. All that said, I'd love a Toronto vs. Detroit classic in Detroit or Michigan Stadium.

Bigger Picture Question - What was the deciding factor?

Spot the f*** on up and down this post. A+ -
Zetterberg, Cleary, Lidstrom, Kronwall, Filppula, and Helm. Ya know, just the same guys we had most of the season and held that 2nd spot for the majority of the year which we, ironic enough we lost to your team and wound up being the dagger for the series. Regardless, saying all we have is Datsyuk is fairly silly and very Sharks fan like of you I will give credit where it's due to Couture, Setoguchi (for once) and Pavelski. I'd take Clowe all day on our team if I could even if he acts like a douchenozzle when Kronwall throws a bomb check on him. Those guys were basically what won this series for your team. And Niemi also had a great couple of games and still almost lost while we had 10 forwards. Might be sour grapes and just grasping to some, but facts are facts, slick.

Plucked right from my brain. I totally agree with this times a million. Helm and Laich together and maybe even Cleary is a ridonculous 3rd line.

These threads are all repeats of the 2010 offseason with the exception of Hudler being added and not wanting to be removed. Kind of funny.

Agreed with your entire post except this part. Our superstars were incredible for us this series.
