It may have already been said but the Flyers could potentially assist in helping two 40+ years of Cup droughts. 1 for the good guys and the other, well, just flat out hate the Hawks. The bandwagon thing is so real too. As it has been said before the Hawks have been pretty close irrelevant over the years and all of a sudden its just mad love throughout the city. "Detroit Sucks" instead of cheering on the team you "love"? Surrrre. Jealousy comes out in many many ways.

Well which Chicago 4th liner do you want? I honestly would say Eager is a bit better to have out there than Burish all things considered. Eager is a pain in the ass as Burish is but can back it up way better. Plus we have to start plucking from them and make this rivalry even better.

I hacked on Bert a good portion of the season. Silenced me a tad when he went on that goal scoring binge when everyone was hurt. Then I spoke up again when he seemingly disappeared again for the rest of the year. They slot him with Mule and Hank and then bang! He is a stud again. I don't know what to think of this guy but I do know that if he can continue to drive that net we will need him out there. Thats really the only time he looks like he belongs out there.

I definitely hear ya on that..but to be honest it can be said with guys like Cleary and Hossa there really just might be a double standard. Cleary has fought for us year in and year out since we got him back in 05-06. He's a great character guy that really gives his all every shift and fought through an injury maybe as similar to Hossa we may think that is, its actually although hypocritical as it may sound, a somewhat different scenario. Hossa was a rental the whole time and we knew that, took less to win the Cup and became a reason why we got there and a reason why we lost it in some people's books. But whats lost I think is what guys like Cleary bring just by being on the ice, hurt or not. Guys really rally around a guy like that playing hurt.

I've definitely suggested the Draper retiring thing for a while but it appears we have 1.583 mill to eat if he does sooo may as well squeeze as much out of him that we can.

With as nice as it's been in Michigan going to Florida would be a bit of a fail but I don't really think these guys hang here much in the offseason. Hence, Florida trip isn't really out of the realm of the possible here. Think we're delving a bit too much here but hey, makes great thread banter.

I would love to get Doughty as well. But there are many things I would love to happen. Stevie sends us Stamkos for Lebda. St. Louis for Meech. and Malone for Maltby. Granted they won't happen, these are things that sound nice.

Yeah I don't think guys win 1 cup and lose the hunger imo. In fact, getting that ring only makes these guys want to win more. At 26 settling for anything really doesn't hack it. Although I am not in the league I would not just settle to be at this sucky job for now lol.

Still think he brings an excellent wrister that could score more with the right set. Plus I am just praying, hoping, wishing, pipe dreamin for Clears to be back to form and get that line back with Hank and Mule.

My condolences my friend, I hear Hank's lady makes a nice tissue subject. Give me a break, the guy can do no wrong!

I like Burish's gritty play for sure but would rather have somebody with scorer's touch say like Matthew Lombardi. Pretty sure he would come at a higher price but definitely like his ceiling better than a guy like Burish. Not to mention no more stinkin Badgers!!! (last part's a joke, love you Raffi!)

The Joe works for now. The stale beer of the early 80's when they were the Detoilet Dead Things still lingers and the floors are stickier than a XXX theater (so I've been told ) but I love that grey square-shaped mess next to the river. Its somewhat scenic during the playoff months and it will do the job for the next 4 or so years. Too many memories at that disgrace to just let it go. The atmosphere is pure hockey.

Have already voiced my opinion on this... Epic fail Bettman. The Crosby overload is at its pinnacle and whoever states that this is a great decision is firmly plugged right up Crosby's ******* and is doing exactly what NBC and Bettman want. So keep it up sheep.
