Would have to definitely say Toews for Chicago. And if Philly gets it, depending on the series he has, it could be Richards. The guy is an awesome leader and just all out great player. Stats haven't been too terrible either. Love the players who can get it done in both zones. Leighton has to get it done for Philly to have a shot so if he does that may just be irrelevant what I said up there about Richards

Met Terrible Ted at an autograph signing back when I was 12. Didn't know much about him just knew his # was in the rafters and what my pops had told me about him. Got up to meet him and he was gracious as could be and had the most scars on a human's face than I had ever seen. I will never forget that

Have always wanted to meet Nick. We always knew that before Stevie retired that Nick would take over as Captain. And as the un-envyable task of taking the "C" after the greatest Captain there has ever been he has done nothing but become in my mind the 2nd greatest Captain we have ever had. I can only say, Nick we love ya, come back and hoist the Cup one more time

I have the Konstantinov, Lids, and Hank jerseys which I rotate throughout the year. The Vladi jersey will never go out of style in Hockeytown. And the Stevie jersey is the most worn to date and will always be I have a feeling. He took a job with an Eastern conf. joke of an org and I have no doubt he will build them up. He will always be in my mind and every poster on here's mind THE Captain of the Red Wings. Wear it proudly sir!

Absolutely. Tampa Bay will be definitely a project but I bet Stevie gets them going in the next 5 years. Build around Stamkos (who better to build around?) Then bring your ass back to Hockeytown years down the road with the GM experience. I already know that is what the future holds.

With a healthy Cleary coming back, I do believe he could just very well crack top 6 at some point this year. I nominate the Hank, Mule, Cleary line to make a comeback. -
There are some things I can sit back and accept. Stevie not being attached to the Wings org anymore is just about bad enough. Now the sheer thought of anyone thinking this...Not saying you actually think it will happen but remove it from your head.

He comes back either way. He got his GM opportunity quicker with a franchise that has considerable work to do. But hey however you look at it he is going to a team is a Cup winner more recent than the Hawks were... I expect Stevie back some day regardless.

Amen... That playoff performance he had last year was just ridiculous. Can only get more excited knowing that he in fact wasn't at all healthy and we get a 100% Danny boy.

The 2nd guy to get the Cup hasn't really mattered since Vladi got it back in 98. So in short... Who cares if Toews hands it to Hossa 2nd? Maybe just maybe he will give it to Brent Sopel. Doesn't matter imo and people wanting that are just dying for something to cheer for in this finals. That said Go Flyers! Mike Richards is a beast.

Hopefully by reading this, the plugs who think Cleary was just tanking altogether can be silenced. Clears is an all out warrior and love that we have him. Looking for a much better campaign in 10-11

Raffi and Lidstrom need to be broken up...They really don't work together all that well anymore. So if nothing is done to acquire another dman that move at least has to be made. -

Hopefully my friend! I want Abby to be out there as much as possible...and stepping it up and getting even stronger with the offensive ability and having Huds as a possible linemate. I like where your heads at on this. And this for sure. As I have said, no more favors. You have to be brutal with these guys even though Drapes is definitely one of the more beloved guys we have had around here in a long time. -
Already heard that Stevie hired the Windsor Spitfires coach..could be speculation but believe that's his coach.

Take it easy everybody. I love Stevie as much as the next Wings fan but he had to make a career move that was best for him. FLA is a great place to live when your house isn't getting knocked down by a hurricane, but he had to do it. I wish him well and we will hope he can get the experience there and come back to the Wings for a more permanent spot.
