Well yeah, that part I knew. Bigger rinks. And yes you very well could be right the larger surface, the more room to do his weaving in and out of nobody and passing to...whoever Big E passes to. Still holding out hope for next year.

THISSSSSS. Went to a road Chicago game last year and psshhh you would have thought from a regular season win they just beat us for the Cup. Horrendous bunch of crumb packers. You just cannot talk rational hockey with them.
-
Yeah he has been doing well in the worlds because International hockey certainly translates different than the NHL. Who knows what it may be I am not an International guru or anything but maybe he can bring this with him to next year. Optimism is contagious....
-
Consider him traded then if we are going on a "breakout" year. It would shock me (although pleasantly). Just can't see Val blowing up for 50 or 60+ points. Still have to say his strength on the puck at times and unreal puck placement on shots-sometimes-can be fun to watch. Lets just see what happens

Percentage of starts next year for Howard and Osgood
HankthaTank replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
SOOOO tough to figure this out in May...but 65 - Howie 17 - Ozzie And Osgood slappies...give me legit arguments please not that Jimmy choked and "wellll Ozzie was just great in 08 and 09 playoffs." Things that hold water because as far as I am concerned this kid has plenty of great years ahead of him. And Osgood just looks like he couldn't stop a dang beach ball anymore. -
Dman named Tollefsen.. Not sure what chances he has at making the roster. Doesn't seem likely from what I have been reading. And in regards to Ville its simply a matter of confidence which in Detroit he didn't have much. Although I do recall a little goal scoring streak he went on when we first called him up. He just never really panned out, but would have loved to have plugged him to see what he could have done. So in short, he has the perfect situation now in Philly.

Just finally watched the replay of this on NHL network... Ville Leino looks like he has really found his niche in the league. Was strong on the power play, even strength just looked like he belonged. Good for Philly and the comeback. Worst of all the chokes in the history of 3-0. Amazing what that arena sounded like after that 4th goal. None of the Lets Go Bruins none of the TUUK! chants when he makes a simple save. Unreal.. Habs in 6 tho

On the spot with that one! HAHAHAHA
-
Sure puts it in perspective... But the Jordan Staal crying picture with Skid Mark sitting right next to him on the bench after their epic collapse was a bit funnier though.

THIS... Well said. And agreed with Toews. Granted everyone hated the Wings but that was consistent opinion of Stevie was that he was just one of if not THE greatest Captain in the sport's history. I hate Chicago but Toews certainly has my respect. He plays the right way and can kill a penalty or two. All of which Skid Mark cannot. -
ECF may need more than 7 games to decide....probably OT for all the games, CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

2 Boston teams involved in the most epic 3-0 comebacks. 1 good for the SAWKS and 1 bad for the B's. Fun times in Bahhstin. Its final GO HABS
-
Touche! That wild and crazy Eastern Conference!
-
Now if somehow the Tigers can come back and beat the Red Sox, Bahhhstonians could have an all out horrific night!
-
Nope, wouldn't be able to as much in the Eastern Conference. He stays there I won't even really think about him.
-
Loving these updates...I am at work Go Bruins. Comebacks like this are great for the sport though. #7 vs. #8 is looking more than possible.

Everything has been possible in the playoffs this year my friend. Fail on me: you said isn't impossible For you

Yes, and maybe commercials wasn't the best way to make the point. But the infatuation and the coverage with Manning when he gets to the Super Bowl, loses, has an injury of some kind, or as some have put on here "takes a dump" surpasses all of these guys you have brought up. Possibly excluding Favre but this is also an American game. Tough to compare but I did my best haha. -
This is still unbelievable to me... That ginger is easily the most overpaid player in the league.

You are naming big name players not the most marketed. Peyton Manning does like 235236 commercials a year. So you posed the question. Peyton Manning is definitely the most marketable/marketed player in the NFL. -

I do admire his talent but he makes it very difficult to do so with even when I have my Wings goggles off (very rarely) he is just constantly bitching with that one face he makes and the continual dives. Too much of the whining for him to get any respect. Plus, not shaking one of the game's best defenseman and downright perfect human, Nick Lidstrom's hand? Yep 'nuff said. -

The things that Dats , Lids, and Z do to me are(understatement of the millenium coming) very overlooked. But as a hockey fan first I must say its not at all shocking. Canadian sport. Russian and Swedish players, says it all and has been said sooooo often. Just rings true evermore every single year through the continuous replays of what Skid Mark has done. The constant threads about this tool is definitely tiring but there will be more and more coming so it is what it is. All we can do is sit back and watch the show our boys put on every night. Cannot stop thinking about next season.
