Gritty 4th liner sounds nice but if the price works out well enough and its a big IF, I think Matthew Lombardi would be a fantastic addition. Plays balls out every shift and has a nice scoring touch as well.

Beginning to think if we don't sign Carey Price you are going to snipe Kenny Holland from a tree somewhere... Lombardi would be a nice addition just don't know about for 3...It all starts at the blue line as far as I am concerned. The 3rd pairing is a huuuuge discrepancy and I still think if we go for a shut down D man or a quick point man we would be better off.

Frustrating thing about Val is that he can just make some unreal plays in traffic while fending off like 3 defenders. And then he can just all out sloppy as hell. I do believe we have to at least give him this last year and if this becomes another year like this one then you just may have to part ways. I think this was a sickening article that could only be put together by a troll in Chicago. Love it! Babs has the pulse of the whole thing. Even if Nick has a house being built in Sweden and his kid is going to play there doesn't necessarily mean we can't get 1 more year from one of the greatest defenseman to ever play.

Went to so many games this year but the best more than likely the Wings Pens game this year. The atmosphere was ridiculous and was easily the most fun I had. Game 4 against Phoenix was unreal too. But the best performance I have ever seen in person was easily the Mule just taking the game over on his own. Great season boys regardless..I shall return to another 15 or so games again.

Yea Bert has to come back but probably won't...it was pretty obvious in those last 2 games and most of the Phoenix series. Not a big Bert fan whatsoever but hey, the line just clicked really well. Eaves and Miller were good to have as well. Played balls out, hit everyone, killed penalties well. I would say bring them back too. Realize this post went all over the map but thats my thought process right now with the Wings out lol

Why Carey Price gets brought up is mind boggling at best...There is no reason to dump Jimmy off when he had 1 poor game the entire playoffs and some spotty goals here and there. Give me a break! this guy led us here and now because the Sharks capitalized on the calls that went in their favor. It is what it is. Price would not be the answer, a spruced up blue line would be. Thanks have a great off season.

Its a pleasure to watch this guy play. Can't take it for granted to have 2 of the best 2 way players this game has seen in a while. There may be nothing better than to watch how pissed opposing players get about his determination to shut them down and stay on the puck. Way to go Hank

Yeah, a "fluke" is not something that just continually happens. Lets spare the whole thread the sake of calling everything a fluke aside from the officiating. What is done is done, Wings could easily be tied 2-2 or even up 3-1 but they aren't. The zebras can't be our excuse we must rise above that and continue playing that Wings hockey we saw last night. Puck control, winning face offs, and letting the opposition turn into a bunch of frustrated cry babies because they are getting outplayed. "Nabby's a sieve"

Franzen just scored again, Boyle just scored on his own team, Thornton whined and acted as "Crosby" as possible about getting outplayed, and the choke could be in place...
