Yep. Have kind of had that feeling a lot this year. Just not much chemistry and we were getting by on a talent alone for a little while and honestly I think people need to realize that Pav was the MVP of the league at one point when we had him at 100% before clown Sammy pushed him... There is about 2 weeks to "figure it out" and I just don't really know what we can do to get it going. The Modano signing was a failure and it isn't really his fault but I think we could have a better option out there at this point. He has really looked better but that's not going to help the other games, just hope it does help moving forward. Line combos are a dead topic on these boards but Huds-Datsyuk-Cleary was our best line this year, period. Franzen is a demotion at best nowadays and should be down on the 3rd to "motivate" if that is all possible. Someone needs fire lit, may as well stop trying to get production and make them work for their spots again.

I am going to call it right now. Wells will most likely be the starter in either left or right. To be honest with you, our corner OF spots are so shaky. Rabones is awesome here and there but he is absolutely not ready for 500+ AB's in a season. I hate to be this negative about it but it is totally true. We needed to go in a different direction this offseason and acquire a Juan Pierre type who can get around the basepaths and get on base. A Jack looked awful yesterday at the plate. Game 1 of 162 so I digress, just really need to find a more consistent lineup. Boesch had a terrific spring at the dish and he might be a star, who knows. I'd like to get some more looks at Casper personally.

Knee-jerkville.

good one, nonetheless.

I am loving Looch. I remember one time I placed Lucic in the list of the best fighters in the league lately and got axed for it. He is more important to his team than this but man, he is simply awesome. I think his jersey would be a good purchase.
-
Yep, same here. No other word for him but BEAST. Have always loved Nash's game too aside from the hit on Pav that seems to be keeping him out longer and playing for a team in Columbus. Mostly I would have to say everyone that played on Team USA for the Olympics as well. OK maybe not Kane, still hate the douchebag.

I was more or less trying to convince myself of this.... Wasn't bashing ya Cali. This would be a massive steeltoe kick to the nuts.

Helmer wallpaper FTW! Loving this kid more and more. Thanks Matt!!!

Nah, this is false. Especially "into the first round" thing.

Just wanted to extend a Happy Birthday (knowing he doesn't look at this site and probably better for it) to one of the greatest Red Wings and hockey players of all time! Gordon "Gordie" Howie, born on March 31st, 1928 in Floral, Saskatchewan. Trademarked as Mr. Hockey. Happy birthday #9!!!! We sure could use players like you

I really hope "certain" players were getting in other's faces. It was necessary last night. We are the Red Wings ffs. With all these 8 paragraph posts and all this for free analytical work people have been doing on here all day how about.... PLAY LIKE YOU WANT IT -
Wow Maggs. This will be a long running issue with his uselessness in the outfield. That was a catchable ball whether he was playing deep or not. Won't kill them for this game though, bullpen has to be better. Just glad the season is off and running. Gooooooo Tigers!!!!

Need a rally here before Sandman comes out in the 9th. Thanks for sucking today Swish.
-
Yeah, I am not sold on that guy being a starter. Kind of an ironic homer though considering the trade last year.
-
Everyone needs to just read this over and over and realize, it's not that bad. Sorry bro.
-
1-0 Tigers. JP with the first run driven in of 2011 campaign
-
Right, I need one as well. PLAY BALL!!!!! Stream
-
There's a thread for that already.
-
Have to hope for Swish to play well. That's my only allegiance I'll hold toward the Yanks all year.
-
Oh yeah! Well I put it in the Brendan Smith Prospects Watch thing 2 hours before this soooo yeah! Can't wait for this kid. Kronwall comparisons....ya know, when he hit and stuff
-
BAH, figures. ESPN and their cursing selves trying to showcase the Yanks backfires. Predictions The love this guy gets is deserved for how great of a guy he is. But wow, do we need to go in a different direction at the hot corner.
-
Nah, I haven't seen a single post about Carey Price from this guy yet. But that might be his plan all along

Well put, Nightfall. I totally agree with you but that's the way it is unfortunately. When the sun's shining, there is really no better team or organization to root for. And I think that's where people fail to see how utterly ridiculous they sound when they sit there and blast out hyperbole and expect for others to read it with any credibility. Just stop, please. This team hasn't looked hungry enough, I'll grant all of you that. Opinions are obviously something that this forum and site are all about, and for the most part you are all the most knowledgeable and passionate Red Wings fans I have heard from. You are all better than most that seem to lead you on and make it seem like the "cool thing" to do to just unload idiotic statements in regards to this team. I realize the "realists" in here are playing it safe because they can simply say "I told you so" when the time comes for the Wings to get axed in the playoffs and they can rejoice if we advance. Nothing changes, just keep in mind that supporting a team might be tough sometimes but being a bandwagoner, well, that's reserved for crap fanbases like Chicago. Don't liken yourselves to that.

4 hours boys! Not even sure when I made this thread but I have been waiting for this long before that. Can't wait to watch what V Mart can do for us and Rhymes is poised for a pretty surprising season I think. Let's play ball!!!
