Oh wow. I was waiting for this and I think this is a great debate to have really. If the playoffs start today, I think Rusty has to get the 6th spot with his experience he has. I know a lot of people have been not too please with his play, but like most of those realistic fans have stated, he is a cheap, NHL veteran, playing on the last pair and has been effective enough. So playoffs come, you definitely want those who have been there before if you will. Kindl's time is coming soon though. To be fair (and even coming from one of Ericsson's biggest haters) he has played better lately. Not as boneheaded with his moves and such. In the Chicago game which was as close to a playoff game as we have seen in a while, he looked to be the type of guy I want there. E is not off the playoff roster right now to me.

Said it many times before but people are really making the safe assumptions in here. Grrr! We will be first round exit! Or, well it might be 2nd round but not much further. These are all safe "predictions" or whatever you want to call them.

Without a doubt. There is just the emptiness I feel when I go to games, like I am tonight, when I don't see 13 out there. It is ok tho. I sure have liked what I have seen from Flip and obviously Helmer lately. 1 more game out and he should be there for the tilt in Nashville.

I like Peralta in the 7 slot. Brings quite a bit of depth lower in the lineup.

Read through nearly every thread in here. I see you are new here but this is panic button central. Playoffs are unpredictable as can be but the flow of the team this year has been unnerving at the very least. They ramp it up come mid-April but will that be enough? We shall see.

Getting on my normal Abby bandwagon Have loved how he has played lately and I think getting him with some more skilled wingers (COUGH FRANZEN) is key. They watch how he brings it and hopefully that translates.

He shouldn't lose the Norris fellas if this is what we are worried about here. It's clear the defense hasn't been as good this year. E-brake on the nerves, all will be ok, and he shall get his 7th.

To be fair, I think we should allow people to let it sink to show just how amazing Pash is/was. The credit will come as the years go by, I can promise you that. Also going to be homering on this one but Fedorov at one time was the most gifted player in the world, it was more so the effort that we all remember as being not so much there. When he did play all out like in the playoffs, no one could touch him.

Just necroing this because he seemed to play with a little bit more purpose last game. Playing with Abby can be beneficial to if anything his energy level and not really point production. The 3rd line demotion makes sense to me at the moment. I guess we just wait to see if he can kick it into gear but probably won't happen until the mid April push per usual.
