Not sure if this is even the biggest "looking" hit of the year. Sure is nice to see Ovie stepping up again. Personally, I thought PK's hit earlier in the year was one of the bigger hits. EDIT: OP said "new year" THREAD LARCENY!!!!!

A+ to this above. The "situation" may not be the best but the Super Bowl got great reviews (MUCH better than Jacksonville did) and there is really a ton of events in and around the city quite often. I work down here and obviously it is really not the best of places, but bringing the Winter Classic down here to Comerica would actually be a great remedy for our "situation". Only a plus for the businesses and all of that. I am for it. -

Hockeytown Cafe is cool to swing by for 1 drink. Pricey place, in my opinion, but very cool to see all of the Wings nostalgia and what not.

Nemo's is by far the best and has been my pre-game spot since I was like 10. Also if you walk down by Fort St. and continue (unsure of the actual road) there is a great pre-game bar to go to called Cobo Joe's. And if that is packed, which it can be, I would say The Post Bar is great as well. After games, Greektown is the place to be. Hop on the people mover to get there, there is a map right inside of it. Doesn't take more than 10 minutes or so to get there. Have fun and cheers!!!!!!!

One of the major turning points in the history of the Detroit Red Wings. I can remember talking on the phone with a girlfriend at the time and it was the most fun I have had watching something. Especially when Lemieux "turtled". Amazing.

It is too bad that Tom Hanks is stuck on such a nice little island like that in 'Cast Away'. Almost looks like a nice place to visit.
